Nylander, while projecting as a player with excellent offensive skills, is not that effective on the defensive part.
Nylander is 2 steps down from Marner and Matthews.
Leafs need a big upgrade on d.
Quite obvious that Nylander could be the one to be traded.

I personally wouldn't give him up in a trade for Shattenkirk though.
Leafs should target a younger d in exchange for Nylander (IF they consider to trade him at all)
