Hunwick and polak were worse and have been worse for more than two game. Why do they get let off the hook so much? They are (frank)ing horrible. They were awful and all people want to talk about is corrado?

No, it's because we had it on good authority that Frankie Corrado was going to play on the 2018 Canadian Olympic team, and Babschlong is ruining his chances.

Is it possible that babs is playing polak and hunwick because he thinks that they are the best chance to win because they are vets and play the right way? Is it possible that he's a good coach and doing a ton of good thing, but he's not perfect? We saw with drw and his reluctance to take certain guys out. Since babs left Detroit they waived kindl and he can't crack the panthers lineup and I beleive he has since been waived. Same situation here Imo.

Opinion: lack of options

Hunwick and Polak are serviceable third pair defencemen. Corrado needs to play more then once every 3 months to be of any value, Carrick is Gardiner 2 years ago without the offensive upside, Gardiner is not a #1 defenceman and Zaitsev would probably be better suited playing in a second pair. 2 things shone thru last night; Reilly's value to the team and the lack of depth in the defensive corps. Do you give Corrado the chance to prove himself or do you pull someone up from the Marlies and see what they can do.? I guess it will depend on how long Reilly is out. Let's hope it's not too long!

not disagreeing at all... but are realistic targets.... yes Anaheim has tons of youth that would seem to be available... the obvious Trouba situation, but other than Shattenkirk who I'm guessing would rather end up in the US long term... maybe Hamonic?

I'd think there are some others out there...but hopefully those might be doable without losing JvR... what else is there where JvR would need to be the centerpiece?

Fowler has been the Ducks best D so far this year....they wont be moving him at all.
