He has said over and over and only just days ago recently that he's always looking to improve through trades. So he obviously takes calls even when he doesn't intend to ask UFA's to waive. There is a big difference.

Perhaps JB already has an offer for one of our D on the table and is trying to get a bidding war going?

JB talking about our Dmen mentioned Tree, Gudbranson, OJ, and Stecher. Could be Hutton or Tanev that he's considering moving though I really hope not

They make the most sense of what the market wants and Canucks may be able to replace long term. If Hutton goes now, which doesn't do anything for Vegas exemption, then expect OJ to replace him end of junior season. JB sees Tree & Guddy as Tanev replacemts long term.

I, like a lot of people, am just interested in seeing these guys play a bit to see what they're made of. I have no idea why you would be so negative about us wanting to see players we're interested in playing some games rather than Chaput or Megna....

He's said it several different ways already. "If the right trade comes along" "If a vet wants to be traded, we'll see if we can find a trade for them". Obviously, he's saying they are not shopping for at the moment but will make a deal if the right offer comes along. In a nut shell, we are not buyers and we are not tanking.

My opinion...I like Sbisa more than Hutton. That being said, we will probably lose Sbisa in the draft. Hutton has a higher upside but right now? I prefer Sbisa
