It's not really as bad as that, OTT/TOR should pass them when they catch up, but that leaves them near the top of the wild card race with 34 remaining games.

My whole point however, since I was responding to someone saying that "he might waive to go to a contender", is that I don't think Chara would look at the Bruins and decide "I'd have a better shot at a cup in Columbus" or with whoever would trade for him.

Honestly the fact that Colorado is offering Duschene and Landeskog and the isles aren't biting is a joke. You have 5 "legit"forward prospects, 2 d prospects who can't crack the lineup and whatever draft picks. In year ten of the "rebuild" it seems to me you can part ways with a few pieces to get Tavares a wing finally in his 8th year.
