Why?
Leafs need scoring all of a sudden? - WingmanWillie
I think they're fine with goals. He could help in other areas of scoring... maybe act as a mentor to the young kids who still haven't figured out how to use their money and fame to their advantage in this area. |

You said he wasn't better than polak and hunwick, and the says say otherwise. You also mentioned your opinion was based(partly) on the preason (1g4pts +5 in 3games).....maybe you want to reconsider? - burn
Was he that good in preseason? Jesus, why has he been rotting all year in the pressbox! |

I only spoke of Polak.
It is my opinion.
As for reconsidering, and these preseason stats you keep throwing out, the
only thing i'd reconsider is attempting to have a hockey convo on this site.
Corrado played 39 games last season.
As I said, you, sir, are entitled your opinion, and I mine. |

if he's so poopty, nobody would claim him on waivers.
That leaves a trade. Getting an asset for him would mitigate any reservations we had about it, I think. - WingmanWillie
Would teams claim Polak or Hunwick? Didn't we trade Polak for 2 seconds last year at the deadline, and yet you keep screaming he sucks.
Polak/Hunwick/Corrado are assets that have value |

Seriously we spend all this time feeling sorry and thinking of ways to do right by Frankie, when in reality he's probably just happy that he's no longer a Canuck. |

see there's another example of assumptions making people look foolish. In this case I'm guilty.
I wasn't wrong yesterday though - you didn't have a clue about the Indian education system when you made that comment. - 1979AD
i know many people from the subcontinent. I surveyed several. they gave varying answers including that it's safe to say 10% of gov't schools don't teach the scientific method, to an answer saying that getting a western level of scientific education in the village schools is difficult.
Also, i mentioned Yemen and Aleppo (Syria) and pretty much any warzone as being places where it's pretty unlikely to get any kind of education, let alone the scientific method being taught in schools. |

No, they didn't
What they did was traded him, along with Nick Spaling in a deal that fetched 2 seconds, and the Reimer trade balanced out whatever lopsidedness went into that.
Polak sucks. Go into the Sharks thread and see how they feel about him

So that settles it then Polak sucks, Hunwick sucks and Corrado will most likely suck but as 6-7 D on a rebuilding team, meh least of my concerns.
Now back to this juicy Jagr trade... tell me more, tell me more |

Your claim was that schools in India don't teach the scientific method. You're now supporting this claim with your own ad hoc research which determined that 90% of gov't schools in India teach the scientific method.
