Yes. Last season.

They went to the trouble of re-signing him. If he was never gonna play, why would they do that?

The whole thing is (frank)ed. I think that probably skews my opinion of him too. I always root for the underdog and he's been getting the short end of the stick for over a year now

- WingmanWillie

Why do you care so much about a fringe NHLer? He'll play 1 game then we'll never talk about him again

Corrado 1g4pts in 3 pre season games, 2nd on the team in pts. +5.

But apparently he was terrible in the preseason.

- burn

Yes, that's right, I said he was terrible.
Right after I compared Roman Polak to Paul Coffey.

I said IMO he's an average AHLer.
You're entitled to your own opinion as well.

I hope Corrado proves my opinion to be wrong.

He played 1 game already, yet here we are.

Waive him, send him to the Marlies, toss him in a trade, whatever.

If he doesn't belong here, then cut him loose

That's why I care. He's either a useful player or a waste of a roster spot. In either case, the press box is the wrong place for him

If we’re close to the playoffs come the TDL, I wouldn’t mind us being a buyer.

Condition being that we make minor deals involving whatever rentals guys like levio, corrado, marincin etc. can buy us.

He already did.

https://www.thestar.com/s...lls-with-the-marlies.html

relevant quote:

“He’s been very positive,” said Marlies coach Sheldon Keefe. “I thought he had an outstanding first couple of games. It’s a good chance for him. I think he’s done a good job. He’s just here to get his reps, and get comfortable.”

That doesn't scream average AHLer to me

I dunno about this - the team looks out for the team. They could lose 2 D tonight or in any game in which case having Frankie around would be a good thing. If they had just released him so he could maybe get a chance to play somewhere else out of the goodness of their hearts, we would all be pissed about it.

You said he wasn't better than polak and hunwick, and the says say otherwise. You also mentioned your opinion was based(partly) on the preason (1g4pts +5 in 3games).....maybe you want to reconsider?

You come from Vancouver not knowing much about things like snowplows, so you make wild assumptions that expose your ignorance.

Now consider how wrong you might be on the "they don't teach the scientific method in India" bullpoop you were spouting yesterday.

- 1979AD

wrong again.

you expose your ignorance making assumptions.

Being from a mountainous region of B.C., I know that Hwy 5 isn't being ripped up every year to repave and fill potholes.... Toronto doesn't get anywhere near the same amount of snow as the Coquihalla highway or have the same sized snow plows. Not to mention i've been in T. for the better part of a couple of decades, so there 's that too...

you were wrong yesterday and wrong again today.

if he's so poopty, nobody would claim him on waivers.

That leaves a trade. Getting an asset for him would mitigate any reservations we had about it, I think.

If they do it properly....people wont have jobs the following year.
Biggest thing that happens in Ontario....new roads will either be constructed or expanded. They'll tear up the old road, rebuild the foundation, lay the new pavement etc...then a month later, parts of the same new road will be torn up to lay to new wires, fibre optics, sewage/water pipe etc.
Now, how much cheaper and how much time and inconvenience would have been saved had they planned the two separate projects together?

- Fakepartofme

Happens all the time on roads like Queen, Dundas, Bloor etc... and residential. i saw them rip up the same road 3 times one summer. Toronto Hydro, Water and I think Enbridge one after the other.

4XX series of highways don't need to be worked on every year if they would build them properly first time out.

see there's another example of assumptions making people look foolish. In this case I'm guilty.

I wasn't wrong yesterday though - you didn't have a clue about the Indian education system when you made that comment.

Kaptaan is never wrong. He could be standing outside in the sunshine then claim it's raining and be right. He is a Canucks fan, proof that I'm right about him.
