He just needs to play his game.

Take it one shift at a time.

Focus on doing the little things right.

Play as a team.

Can't worry about what the opposition is going to do - just worry about your job.

Keep his head on a swivel.

Keep it simple.

Heck, with Andsie playing behind him, you know he's going to make the big save.

Team's playing with a lot of confidence.

Because they know they can count on each other.

Opposition is going to come to play. We need to be ready for them.

Play the full 60 minutes.

There's no easy games in this league.

Two points in January count the same as two points in April.

If he can do all that, the chances will come. It's just all about working hard. Hard work usually pays off.

Play his man, not the puck
Keep his head up
Short, crisp passes out of the zone
Take care of his own end and the offense will take care of itself

- WingmanWillie

Get on base
Keep them out of the paint
Keep your gloves up
Swing easy and relax
Hug the corners tight
Know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away, and when to run

Only for a winning scenario, then yes pls. haha

Alright so media questions:
- What are your thoughts on the game tonight coach?
- What did you think of Corrado out there tonight in his own end?
- Nylander played well and ended up on the score sheet, does this put an end to the rumors?
- Andy came up huge for the club tonight, would this team be the same without him?
- If the Leafs sweaters weren't blue and white, what shape would this team be in?

Anyway, there will be a bunch of dumb questions like that

He's better than Polak
- WingmanWillie

I'd rather have Polak myself. Love his PK play and actually don't mind his 5 on 5 play (as long as it's him, Hunwick or Carrick). I don't like the fact they make up 50% of our total defense

Same, and a big one, like primary assist on GWG or something like that.

He's mobile, and can move the puck. That instantly makes him better than Polak, IMO.

and before people jump on me, saying you need the meathead defensive Dmen, I'll refer you to last year's Stanley Cup Champions

- WingmanWillie

The undeserved Frankie love from fans is unbearable.
Better than Polak? Hilarious.
I hope i'm wrong but I see an average ahler at best.
At least tonight he gets a chance.
We will see.

I know you're laughing at Leafs fans for thinking he's good based on the fact he's barely played an NHL game recently but how can you "see" that he's an average AHLer at best given that he ha barely played an NHL game recently (or an AHL one minus a few conditioning games - which I seriously doubt you've seen)

Sounds like you've found a new passion!

If you want a tour of TSN 1200 Ottawa, I could hook it up for you. Ian Mendes was the best man at my bro in law's wedding.

Last year, pre-season, his recent ahl conditioning stint.
I've seen plenty.
Of course this is just my opinion.
I hope i'm wrong.

Because the times he has played....meh.

He doesn't deserve to be stuck in flux between the AHL and NHL but if this kid was special, the staff would notice and he would be playing. He's not playing. So I think it's safe to assume he's nothing special.

I thought he looked ok for a bottom pairing last year.

I think he's probably better at execution than hunlack...but doesn't play the position the way babcock instructs him to. Hunlak seems to follow Babcock's instructions....but can't execute.

Just speculating as to why he's been on the dawghouse.

I'm only half joking. The other half is morbidly curious as to what kind of carnage would ensue if you spent a day there.
