WOOOOHOOOO!!!!

i finally got someone to admit it...

Maybe old varky isnt just all ramble and opinions..

JVR for Hjalmarsson still doesn't make sense, no matter how hard you try to will it into existence.

Did you hear one of the talking heads (Dreger, I think)say Seabrook to Toronto was a possibility he heard? I seriously hope that's false. Would be a great addition for a while, but I'm pretty sure he's signed until he's in his 40s. Would go no good real quick.

I got him in one also. Traded Laine and Werenski to get Metthews and Gardiner.... I hated losing Werenski, but Matthews

- lumlums

oh man, mine was way crazier. 6 player blockbuster in which i got several years younger on average but worse right now by a fair margin.

benn matthews kucherov

ovechkin tarasenko backstrom

I may very well hate myself for this but matthews and my new youth movement

edit: i also have werenski, i was lucky not to have to include him in a deal for matthews

I was thinking if I needed to take a watery poop, there was no better place to be than Tanner's blog.

But since you asked, no update yet. Feast or famine, I guess.

contracts aside, would you trade Gards for Risto?
- Arctic_AARDVARK

Depends on what mood I'm in

But when you add the contracts in there, no.

Hard no to Seabs... That contract is terrible, let Chicago eat it..

Thats partly why Hjalmarsson would be the one to go, no one will take Seabrooks contract.

I don't have cable so i don't watch TSN or SN anymore, i just stream the games. The talking heads don't exist to me anymore.. The trade would make a lot of sense tho.. Bringing a guy like him in would add huge experience to the team.. No one else has a cup (unless hunwick does)..

edit: im saving the bolded.. just incase

Yeah, that contract is (frank)ing terrible.

Love Seabrook, and would take him on the team this moment, but that contract is not going to end well...

they already regret that contract imo

i am curious how much they'd be willing to overpay for pooptykirk as a free agent. he's not the #1 guy they need but he'd be a solid 2nd pairing guy.

I don't think the Leafs need someone better than Rielly... Shats would be awesome to have, but he's not essential for the success of the franchise.. You can only really get those players through the draft anyways..

how about this.. Leafs do nothing until the summer.. then trade JVR for an early-mid first rounder and draft Liljedgren?

Hjalmarsson is solid for sure and on a decent contract, but we need RHD, not LHD. Personally I'd target Minny (Spurgeon ), they have 5 D who they'd likely want to protect.

Ever get tired of not knowing what the hell you're talking about?

Gardiner was great last night, and Frankie has already been confirmed to be playing with Carrick.

So you're 0 for 2

Personally I think that Shat is very underrated defensively. He's got all the skills of Gardiner, but a triple digit IQ!!!

yeah.. he's all the rage right now...

what about Ellis from Nashville?? They've been making dumb trades.. Of course we'd ask for more than Ellis, but he could be a guy..

He is pretty good but is he any better than Rielly? Imo no and Rielly is more of a 2nd pairing guy too.

I've been a fan of that little bastard for years. As you are to the Marner predictions, I am to the Spurgeon train

He is on a top team

I guess it all depends on who he fits with best.. Rielly is easliy a top 30D in the league tho.. and theres 60 top pair spots available..
