Probably the best road game the Pens have played in a while.
I'll echo the sentiments of someone else when they were surprised Montreal didn't go after Murray's glove hand more (since that's essentially the book on him at this point).
Also, I'm not holding my breath for the Horny/Rust swap on lines anytime soon, but each game, I feel a little more sure it should happen.
Top 2 lines didn't look all that special tonight, but the 4th line was great at regaining some momentum every time the Habs started tilting the ice the other way.
Fehr looked pretty solid & comfortable being back in the lineup as a center. Wish he looked that good when he was on the wing. It would keep him in the lineup more regularly, but he's a pretty solid 5th center. - ScienceJesus
Fehr looks good as a center. But I hope it just boosts his trade value and he is still out. I'm pretty comfortable with our centers of Crosby - Malkin - boninio - cullen - sundqvist. I'm not sure fehr is a significant upgrade over sundqvist as the 5th center and moving Fehr's salary will help a lot and grabbing an extra pick will help replace the inevitable pick we lose to add a 7D which we desperately need for playoff injuries.
You could make an argument for keeping Fehr for next year if Bonino is walking but I think Fehr/Sundqvist are 4c and not a 3c next year.

Mike Tomlin should have had 4 words during his press conference: "Kiss my (African American) ass," and walked away from the podium.
Just sayin. |

I know, who realized that Zach Parise was the best goal scorer per time on ice in the NHL? |

The most important thing right now is to keep going with Murray every game since we play every other night. No more putting MAF in every other game. Get Murray consistent, the playoffs will be here before you know it. |

Playing a guy every 2 nights for 3 months would probably wear him out by the end of the regular season. MAF is gonna need, at the very least, spot starts. |

Yes, but 5v5 is all that matters. Power play goals are imaginary and don't really count. |

I thought Hornqvist only had like 3 5v5 goals this year. If so, how are his "expected goals" (the (frank) kinda stat is that) at 5v5 so high? |

Because the way he plays, his line generates so many opportunities, he's expected to score much more. Dude's just having bad luck this season at 5v5. His high danger corsi % is 65%. First among players with over 20 games. 144 HDCF, 76 HDCA. |

DP's scouting analysis. Scroll down the to talent analysis. When you read it you think, is this a mistake? It can't be DP.
http://www.hockeysfuture....rospects/derrick_pouliot/ - powerhouse
I still believe in him. Since being sent down the last time he is a point a game player and is playing in all situations. He's definitely a slow learner and I think he expected it to be easy because of all the success he had in junior. Shero should have never traded Joe Morrow for 2 months of Brendan Morrow on the third and fourth line. He and Pouliot were an incredible pairing in Portland and now both are having trouble becoming full time NHL players. Right now Morrow would be a much better option than Gaunce, Warsofsky, or Oleksy. |
