As weird as this may sound. I think this season may be a blessing in disguise. Even if we made the playoffs we would be a first or second round exit regardless. We want to be Cup Contenders on a yearly basis not playoff tweeners. Sure it's good for the team to grow and find success and learn how to win. But if anything it's good to learn now the issues this team has instead of finding out a year or two down the line. A Hischer, Patrick, or Liljegren helps this team long term more then someone we draft in the 10-15 range. Us being an abomination this year hopefully gets Bylsma fired, Helps Murray realize he made a mistake with Lehner, and allows us to sell off rentals and accumulate more draft picks that hopefully Murray can turn into NHL players 3-4 years down the line when we're up against the cap and need role players. There is talent. Hate on Reinhart all you want but he has 13 pts in 14 games. Eichel on one and a half legs has 17 points in 23. O'Reilly, Kane, and Okposo are good hockey players. McCabe and Risto on the backend are top 4 defenders. We need to shed the dead weight and build around them and we'll be just fine. We have Nylander and Guhle that may be NHL ready next season and cash to spend in FA with expiring contracts. As the great Aaron Rodgers said R-E-L-A-X

Ignorant operators of motor vehicles, who don't respect the rights of bicyclists - or recognize the proper signaling protocols for non-motorized vehicles - should recall the the best way to hide their ignorance is to remain silent.

im not sure where the blame goes here, i suspect the buffalo mayor, but streets like elmwood and delaware arent really wide enough to accommodate four lanes including bicycles. simply painting a couple lines and calling it a bike route is dangerous. i saw a guy get pasted by a car door in front of the lexington co-op last year. some girl was on her phone getting out of her car, and opened the door without looking. he cracked his head on the road and fell into the path of an oncoming car, who screeched on the brakes and just missed hitting him. im all for people riding their bikes, but there needs to be more exclusive bike routes. spending a couple hundred bucks to paint lines on a road dont make it safer.

whats the hand signal for "im a suburban girl who is going to go down to the organic food store on elmwood and pretend that im in fvcking soho, but im having a bad day cuz i had to parallel park, so now im going to talk on the phone and distractedly open my car door"?

The real problem is most people don't realize that a bike is just another vehicle (albeit not a motor vehicle). Bikes are subject to all the same vehicle and traffic laws as any other vehicle - but too many people don't realize it (both bike operators and motor vehicle operators) and don't operate in a safe manner.

While the Sabres are likely to move pending unrestricted free agents Cody Franson and Brian Gionta, center Zemgus Girgensons (who is set to be a restricted free agent) could be someone teams look at as a reclamation project. Girgensons had a breakout year under former coach Ted Nolan in 2014-15 but has struggled since Dan Bylsma has taken over. His role has considerably diminished this season which makes him an intriguing ‘change of scenery’ candidate.

The only thing different about Girgensons now, from 2-3 years ago is opportunity

He doesn't get the PP time anymore

He has 10 5 on 5 points

ROR and Okposo each have 11

Girgs isn't having too bad of a year for a player making under a million

can't help but notice that with the exception of mcjesus these guys at the top of the list tend to play for teams with strong bluelines.

lol yea although its hard to criticize a coach who won 16 in a row. Sure a lot of it was goaltending and make up of the team but still.

Zucker being on that list shocks me the most.

Saad now has 32 and Ehlers 33 according to the NHL website EVP.

I was going to the say some thing about Zemgus.

He and Larsson are similar only Zemgus has more speed, so keep him and trade Larsson if somebody shows interest, and also give Zemgus more opportunity as well.
