He's a top 4 guy....
And JVR is by no means a top LW.... Sure he could be a top line player on half/most NHL teams... but hes not an elite LWer...
Contract and location wise it makes sense. You're going to have to overpay no matter what. If Chicago is calling Lou about JVR maybe they're willing to add a bit more.. I just think he's a perfect fit. A little younger would be nice. - Arctic_AARDVARK
He's 6th in the NHL scoring race for left wingers.
He has 3 fewer points than Ovi, with 2 fewer games played.
I hate his stupid twirly move.
I hate how he refuses to use his size.
I hate how he chews his mouthguard.
But he's an elite winger. It's time for Toronto fans to quit hating our best players (and worshiping Komarov).
The same Oilers that are 4th in the difficult west?
It's impossible to compare defenseman worth to a forward..
I think you guys are under-rating Hjalmarsson a tad and possibly overrating JVR? He is playing with the Magician after all... His trade value will never be higher and if we keep him he's getting 6-7mil.. Hjalmarsson would command maybe 5mil when his contract is up. If he walks we get nothing.. its inevitable hes getting traded, for who i dont really care i just really like Hjalmarssons game and so do Hawks fans.. - Arctic_AARDVARK
Yeah...and Hjarlmasonn is playing with Kieth on a great Chicago team. Goes both ways

I believe that the leafs might want to explore what it would take to resign jvr?but can kappy (healthy )fill that spot? Can they get a dman without jvr included

Why go in then?? Go home.. - bixll
It's stupid - I was raised that if you could get out of bed, you went to school.
Which is kinda bizarre, because my dad was a principal and my mom was a teacher/vice-principal - you'd think that they would want kids to stay home if they were sick.
But I had that drummed into me as a child, and I can't shake it.
I probably average 1.5 days off for sickness a year.
I I fully admit I'm being an idiot - it would be much better for me to stay home today and arrive tomorrow at 100%, than linger here and do nothing, and show up tomorrow still feeling like crap.
Yet here I am, sitting at my desk. I'll bet my office smells like death.
