yeah i heard about the corn.. all we do is play god, and i really have no issue with it yet.. People understand very little about the evolution of living things..

agree and frankly speaking, i don't think in a lot of countries they even teach the scientific method. Sir Francis Bacon would not be proud of hte state of education.

Me too. As a scientist, this angers me almost as much as him being a terrible person. I'm understand that not everybody is informed about certain topics, but in that case you better be a (frank)ing saint!!!

Agreed - even within the sciences, there's too much focus on remembering a whole series of facts, and less emphasis on how to properly address evidence to reach a reasonable and reproducible conclusion.

With Trump as president, I'm afraid we are going to be talking about that subject a helluva lot in the next few months.

i don't have an issue with people spreading their kids vaccines over time vs. a few at one visit.

not getting the standard vaccinations at all is just plain stupid and negligent.

I don't want to live in a world without bananas. I eat them like a gorilla. My grocery store gets the red ones and the miniature ones sometimes, they're tasty.

i'm not looking to provide any facts. but i'd venture the majority of people educated in the villages of india (and region) where gov't teachers don't even bother to show up a lot of the time, aren't getting all the details and hands on experimentation needed to understand the scientific method.

i have no issues with people cross breeding plants. Plants are crossbred to introduce traits/genes from one variety or line into a new genetic background. This is done without any gene level modifications introducing genes from an unrelated plant or animal into the genes of the target.

plant breeding was done with similar plants and varieties to get different traits together from the same kind of plant.
