Kids need to face their fears at a young age.. i dont think city kids get to do that as often.

In fun news.

Snazem Madri is 1 goal from 100 and Jimmy "God" Vesey sucks.

I had to watch the MSG feed for that last game. Is it actually pronounced VEE-ZEE? That threw me off.

I just knew a guy who tree planted in BC, Revelstoke area, and like most things he did was a dedicated machine.

Kids are definitly more dependant on technology and whatnot, but i think the culture is still healthy in small towns.. Callander has like 1500 people and at night in the summer it's gangs of kids on their bikes prowling the streets.. make me a little nostalgic.. now its my little cousins hanging on the corner or staying up all night fishing at the dock.. not all is lost. I think it's natural for the older generation to find faults in the younger one.. I think kids these day are far more accepting of others, aka cool.

- Arctic_AARDVARK

Let me be crystal clear on this one point:

If there is anything wrong with this current generation of kids, it is 100 per cent the fault of the adults in charge.

thats nuts.. and i never came remotly close to 5000 trees..
I did lots of fly in blocks in BC and AB.. planting reclaimed oil leases. Burns are the best... we'd fight over who gets to plant them.

Oh for sure, so much cream! Though you'd get dirty as (frank).

That's some mother(frank)ing protein action right there!!!!

You might find a few references to 1,3-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene complexes of Zinc and germanium though

Dude, Dunning-Kruger works both ways, meaning you might not realize this, but none of us have a (frank)ing clue what you're talking about.

My buddy Jamie (Ernst) set the Outland Ontario record (though I have a feeling he may have cheated a bit with the j-roots and losing so many trees because he was overbagging), and it all started with him planting 5,200. Our crew leader started telling him "Yeah, well I planted 6,000" when I was younger, and so Jamie went out there, and jammed 7,900 into the ground the next day in 10 hours. THe crew leader was pissed and was sure he was going to make him replant. Nope. Problem is though Jamie's feet were (frank)ed for the rest of the week, he couldn't walk (trench foot)....

Which ties into the next story, we were told not to take food to the trailers from the food tent because of bears, or if we did to travel in packs. I forgot and did it anyways because I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed....sure enough, a big black mother (frank)er pops out and stares me down. I nearly poop myself, and right as he's making his move towards me, and I throw the food up in the air, the two dogs we had in camp came ripping past me and scared him away.

Also, not sure if the record still stands. It was set 16 years ago haha.

well thats an insane number... BC is treeplanting central an i thought record was in the 6k range somewhere.. He probably j-rooted or slanted a lot of them lol.. Take care of your feet! most planters were wearing hiking shoes but i had big heavy Dakota steeltoes hahah.. my feet never suffered, everyone else was complaing and geting holes in their shoes.. or spending like 300 on footwear only to ruin them in a couple weeks. but when the wasps came out, holy (frank) by.

5 points since December 1st.

Thank goodness the Leafs didn't sign him - because we would all be demanding that the Leafs cut him (or worse).

I understand this exactly. I had a guy chase me in his BMW because we played the rope game on him. I BMXed out of there just in time.

His 16.7% shooting percentage still looks like it has a ways to come down yet.
