Ladd (upper) and Clutterbuck (lower) day to day, Hamonic (knee) week to week, according to Weight. #Isles |

Weight already seems more like a coach than Cappy. |

Yeah I think penciling him in for a top-6 role would be reasonable. I'd happily take the kid at 2, if that's where we picked. Liljegren would be a great pick too at 3. If we end up outside the top 3, I really like Tippett. - eichiefs9
I vent looked into the draft to much yet I really only know about Patrick and hipster (sp)? Here's some coaching get candidates

Lets put some things in perspective. I do think its time to change the guard and fire snow.
That said Edmonton had 4 1st overalls and took McDavid to finally get this franchise to compete. they have miss how many consecutive playoffs?
Let me ask you thinks If islanders had Connor McDavid and John Tavares on this current team. what place would islanders be in East?
Finally can people stop with calling Greiss a Journeyman, this guy is a NHL starter. He has been nothing short of stellar for now his 2nd year in islanders uniform. for starters, the should sign him at extension right now. |

NOW THIS is big. When your practices become competative, thats a good sign. I think Strome is a bust, but I'll say this, he's been playing with an edge this year. I always like a guy who has that switch. |

Connor McDavid is a game changer on any team. He's a generational player. |

I like that Weight at least sounds more forceful than Cappy ever did. Weight will also show a pulse behind the bench. I'm curious as to how Weight does as coach. He should have taken over the same year as the Vanek trade. Now I rather the Isles go outside for a coach unless Weight takes the team on a huge run. |

This season is over.......i would let Doug Weight take the bench to finish her out. I dont want Garth making any major decisions for this team. If they allow him to make serious moves, then that says he's staying. |

Edmonton also for the longest time did not have the right people in charge like the Isles. I agree you cannot call Greiss a journeymen goalie anymore. |

Either way........huge run or not. This season is over, and im anxiously awaiting a new President, who will FINALLY bring in his people. Preferably hockey people with experience, NOT from Massachussets. |

As good as some of their first overalls were/are, Connor McDavid is Crosby good. He's a game changer. Like Tavares can carry the isles......McDavid is a game changer for them. Also, with his addition they were able to get some D, and finally have a "top pair". Sprinkle in a new coach and a few UFA's and now they're where they are. |

I think garth stays till off season as does weight then a new PoHO is hired and he hires a new Gm and coach. Dale Tallon is my guy for PoHo |

He is chippy this year. Now can he teach Nelson to show some fire? I hope Weight gets to play his own system and it's different than whatever Cappy was doing. If Weight will not be considered for this job, let him go all out and do his own thing. |

Journeyman just means he's been in the league for a while. Nothing negative. The same could be said about Ladd & Tavares. |

He knows he's on the hot seat, and he's trying to make an impression. Its no secret that he's been stinking up the joint. Its good to see that he's trying to impress Weight. Capuano was soft, and would bench a kid to "teach him". A real team dumps someone who isnt part of the solution. Enough with the unlimited chances. |

Nah man, a journeyman is a guy who signs 1 year or 2 year deals and has played on multiple teams. Tavares is def not a journeyman.
Chimera would be an example. |

I like having different people.......a president is the liason between ownership and management. Get a president, and let him a hire a GM, who will hire coaches. Its a checks and balances system . |

A guy like Tallon does not need checks and balances. Just stay out of his franken way and watch the winning. If Tallon wants to hire a GM then fine. I'm leaving it up to him. |

I like Dale Tallon and quite frankly he'd be great at either GM or President. But, I personally think with this sh!t show, its going to take a bit to get things right. Why not go all in like Toronto and try and hire the best of the best. Let each guy concentrate on their respective jobs. Three hockey minds are better than 2. |
