I agree, I can't root for them to lose either. But, we can root for the Bruins to lose so Claude Julien becomes available. And they just blew a 3 goal lead to Detroit

Edit: And as I write this, Boston scores.

Well they got at least one point. They are in a bad spot with everyone behind them having games in hand. They can go from 6th to 12th in a week.

I think that Snow will be gone when a President comes in. L & M clearly aren't happy. I don't think there is any way Snow would have fired Crappy on his own. He must have been forced to do it.

It's been said already ... the team will probably come out hard looking to prove something. They will get a little push and may even play better for the last 40 games, but they aren't going anywhere. They let the playoffs slip away in November (when Crappy should have been fired).

- JimmyP

If Snow alone decided to fire Cappy it would be an admission of a bad decision, for keeping him this long, on his part. Even what he said on his "Conference Call" Presser was barely admitting he is to blame as well. It's a start however so things are heading in a better direction.

Guy is unreliable - lots of talent and no work ethic. Takes every other shift off, doesn't play defense.

Vanek was amazing as an islander. Don't confuse his style of play. he is one of those players that slows the play down. Lets be Real, Vanek was best LW that JT has had in his Tenure as Islander.

Sure why not. I need someone to teach me poker. Ek now has the Isles up to something big. Let's see if rumor number 1550 about the Isles this year comes true.

I'd say no. Then again maybe the canning of Cappy is a prelude to mucho change.

Its comical how you can still bailey bash when he has 29points and putting almost a point a night recently. Better put, he isn't why we in last place.

I can bash Bailey because he is soft as anything. He costs the team more by letting guys skate right by him and never playing defense than he does scoring points.

I never said anything good about Bailey - he's hot garbage too. There is no real reason to trade for Vanek this season, as he's on a one-year deal. And he will surely get a payday after this season.

He's only playing well because he probably has a gambling debt to pay and needs a big paycheck.

he wouldn't, also we could have signed him before Detroit no? Vanek stated he didn't want to go to Brooklyn. Its actually quite the opposite of what use to be said when Isles were a Nassau. Remember that cr-p when they said players wouldn't come b/c Nassau was such a dump.

Did anyone see the chatter about ECHL team potentially coming to Nassau? perfect solution to stupid county, replace a professional sports team with a 3rd tier hockey team.

Funny how some of these players are Cappy players now. I guess Garth had nothing to do with acquiring them?

What you say is true. And yet bashing Bailey is practically tradition. So much so that I'm not sure that I can't bash Bailey.

My bad Herr Ses, I didn't mean to imply that they were Cappy's players. I meant to imply that maybe the owners will go on a binge now that they have a taste of change.

Their are plenty of soft productive players. Not every one going to be Milan Lucic. he is plus +1 rating and I see him make better defensive plays than costly turnovers.
he is on pace for a 50-60 point season.

he far from our problem. Not replacing Nielsen is the biggest difference to where we are in standings. we only about 7 win variance from last season. we lost that many close games.
