I'm actually really looking forward to seeing this team under Weight. I want to see if he picks his own lines and system. - ses111
Like most coaching changes I think you'll see a team with jump for a game or two and then back to sucking arse |

Vukota back from the void I'll bet it's something like he's a total dictator made me play old crappy defenseman and sit the rookies, told me never to use a timeout and to make sure I added the fabric softener when I did his laundry at home - Upstate_isles
I still think Garth had plenty of say in the day to day lineup decisions. |

Same here. Turned down numerous free tix. I'll take my son to a road game before I go to BK with Snow still there - Vukota
I told my son the same thing. He was so excited when CAppy got canned cause he said we are almost their dad |

The post games will be a lot better for sure. Weight will be more entertaining watching during the games. I think the team will play better, just do not see a big winning streak. |

Absolutely. Cappy pretty much made that clear when he called out the players after the Panthers game at home and mentioned he would make lineup decisions after talking to management. That's all I needed to hear to confirm what we all knew |

I know Cappy got 7 years coaching this team, but to not even be respected enough to make your own lineup calls. |

I will say though it is kind of sad. He is actually going to game in JErsey in February to watch the ISlanders. I Was like oyu never missed a second of a game. I just had no interest watching the same team game in and game out with the same coach with the same result. I hardly watch now and until Snow is gone which I do beleive will happen during the summer I will stay this way |

if Weight PP coaching will be indication what he will bring as head coach it doenst look so promising.
Cappy may suck as a coach but I have feeling that Weight will be equal to worse.
I don't think cappy will every be a coach in NHL again. I have feeling he going to be Tortorella assistant in Columbus as best. |

I'm halfway back to going to a game. Its probably been 20 years if not longer since I haven't gone to at least 1 game during the season. I told myself I wouldn't go to another game until Cappy & Snow were gone - Vukota
Well you could go to a game and get an obstructed view seat. Half way back so just get a seat where you can see half the ice |

weight's been an assistant coach and assistant gm for years now, he's been part of the staff that's produced some pretty awful special teams and underachieving players. there's no reason to believe he'll be any better running the show.

Sorry to post this podcast on your blog Dan, but there was a lot of good information from Elliotte Friedman in here. Worth listening to imo.

Sleeping giants? Huh and thats from Friedman one of the top 2 guys out there along with Bob Mckenzie. Wouldn't it be nice to be a real organization |

Who says they haven't? - Vukota
True. It would be great to bring Tallon in and if he wants Gallant, that'll work for me too. |

I would love to see Cappy unfiltered and what he really thought about working for Snow. - Vukota
Well, now that Snow is no longer Cappy's boss and landlord, he is free to say whatever he feels like saying! |

Yeah but if he is looking for another job I wouldn't think that would sit well with other GM's if he goes bashing the one he just worked for IMO |

Journeyman just means he's been in the league for a while and on a lot of different teams. Nothing negative. The same could be said about Ladd & Tavares. - Isleshockeyman
