not sure what you are trying to prove here, my point is that JB isn't as bad as you paint him to be. different players develop at different speeds.

the other point is that being a crappy team year after year for a 10 year or more stretch isn't something I'm keen to see for the Nux. teams that go full rebuild don't always work out in the 5 year time frame people seem to assign the process.

having 2 or 3 down years with a bounce up in between to get top 5 picks that pan out and a bunch of picks in the middle of the 1st round or later seems to be a better route than breeding a losing culture that is harder to get out of...

did i say the losing culture is impossible to break? no. it's hard to break. maybe your team has done it. we'll find out. same with the oilers. but getting a player like Matthews or Eichel will do that for a team. Not every team can count on getting a player like that.
sure there could be better players than those picked by JB, but he's turned McCann into something useful. JV is still being worked on and power forwards take longer to develop. Boeser had an injury this season and talking the guy down doesn't make him a bad pick. You have no idea what Juolevi will turn into. It's harder to find a top pair D man which is what the projection is for him than a top 6 forward.
