I think he will be the number one in a couple of years. 22 years old? Nice

I never considered Hank might do it against Luongo. Fingers are crossed.

- boonerbuck

That would be awesome...have it happen on the Lou belly flop as well...

Markstrom has had some great games. In the last number of games not so much and instead miller has been sharp instead.

Markstrom will need enough games to stay sharp too though so its not surprising he hasnt been as good

- SMBDragon

Ya I've never really been a fan of Miller but I will admit he has been playing awesome of late. I thought Marky would step up when Miller was injured but even then he looked shaky and unconfident. Sucks but I don't think we have much of a choice but to keep Miller here next year as I don't think Markstrom is ever gonna be 'our guy'.

Unless they can get a good haul for Miller at TDL...but unlikely.

i would be loathe to have JB trade any picks or prospects at the TDL for reinforcements... the only thing I'd like to see him to do is get rid of guys like Edler/ Tanev/ Burr/ Hansen for quality prospects or high draft picks in a deep draft year.
- kaptaan

You don't trade Tanev. Too hard to replace. Still young.

I'd be ok with moving Hansen. Only because of the expansion draft and Granlunds emergence.

Where is Biff? I gots me lunch money burning a hole in my pocket.

Paul McCann is a good blogger and his talents are wasted here on HB because of a non-existent fan base in here.

I think Tanev is too frail to play in the west as good as he is. Move him to the east and get something while you can. Too injury prone now.

I am starting to agree with this sentiment. But the return still needs to be strong give his age and contract.

Is it just the way he plays?

Often taking the hit to make the play. I think this is where someone usually says "he is nuts to not bail before the hit". or if he does bail, he takes the flack for not making the play

Tanev, Gudbranson, Tryamkin or Stecher. Who is more expendable to the club or helps us bring in a scoring fwd? (we may be e a little deeper on the right side than left but I guess Tryamkin can play both sides)

Guessing we wont see a move until the summer unless we nose dive before tdl.

It's Tanev's style of play. He doesn't shy away from contact. I think Tree and Stetcher need to stay due to their age and they each fill a different need on the blueline. Between EG and Tanev? I'd trade Tanev simply because he nets a greater return. It's pretty unlikely as we know how much the org is in love with Tanev

yep and JB sounds like he loves Guddy, Stecher wouldn't bring much in return yet and Tryamkin is such a wild card on how he might develop... tough decisions.

Depends what he net's? If we get younger & fill an area of need you would have to consider it.

Missed the whole game last night but watched the highlights, looks like we had some good offensive play + lots of hits by Tree. Was Miller the difference or did they actually play that well?

How poetic would it be to see Henrik score his 1000th point on Luongo in Vancouver no less

The team actually generated quite a few quality scoring chances. It wasn't boring like some are saying (at least compared to Jersey). Solid game all around

Only mention on Elliottes 30 thoughts about the Canucks is their recent 2 game roadtrip. Lips are sealed from that organization #StandPat #ConeOfSilence #JBonTheLeft Lol.

Yet no one gives Benning any credit for him. When he has a bad game, Tryamkin is a bust. When he is a difference maker, he is a gimmick.

I think he is very much part of the future here and Benning should get a credit
