Eichel with his 9th and 10th goals last night in only 22 games

Totally forgotten among the leagues best young players IMO

I wish they would play with 5 D instead of using Biega

I remember when they Played LA a couple weeks ago, Kopitar was crashing the net and Biega look so terrified! think his time in the Bigs is coming to an end which is a shame, seems like he works hard at least

I never liked him, but I was starting to come around a little bit (possibly because he was skating next to Bart and Weber). He should be commended for his hard work, but his ability is limited to chipping pucks out and dumping pucks in

He is an underdog, bulldog, whatever you want to call him, so I guess good for him getting his chance but I think I have seen him on the pp a few times which for some reason just doesn't seem right.

I quite like him (he's very strong on the boards), but the skill/consistency definitely isnt there I agree, 7th d man at best... ive noticed it pretty obvious when hes overwhelemed on the ice when he plays too many minutes.

Pretty sure he has a Harvard business degree so in a better spot than most when he eventually gets cut

JV needs to spend a couple of seasons in the minors learning how to play and how to eat and workout and be a professional. Should probably bring in some veteran AHL'rs to guide him in addition to what coach Green is doing.

Also, having lost 3 straight, slick Willie should make a change to shake things up for Nashville to try and spark something. Get some hungry guy like Boucher in there...

Too bad Rodin just can't catch a break in terms of health. I read his knee pad slipped and that's how ended up with a bruised knee that's still wobbly or not right...

from the last blog. I think Canucks have to keep Baert, Granola, and Trauma. those guys are coming along quite nicely.

If he's going to spend multiple seasons in the minors he'll probably need to get more stuff.

Hutton being out 3-6 weeks with a broken hand will help with getting guys to grow their game playing bigger roles and minutes... i'm looking at Trauma, Stecher, Sbisa...

or it will help the team get a better draft position...

Can we call up someone who has earned it from the minors. Maybe a guy that has led Utica in scoring, has been productive for several seasons, hasn't been known to complain.
I say give Grenier a try, he has only gotten in 6 games in NHL & should get a chance to show his stuff.
Don't worry I will not go on ad-nauseum about how he has earned his shot, nor will I go on about how maybe WD actually knows what he is doing and has legitimate reasons for his decisions.

Wouldn't want the guy to burn himself out dominating the skills competition

I coach, gm and run the team from mom's basement.

I'd like to see Grenier get a shot, I heard some discussion on the radio that he might not be what they are looking for as the club wants to add more speed to the lineup. But I guess it may be a moot point if whoever is brought up just sits in the press box.

Grenier is absolutely brutal. Pretend he isn't 6'5 and alll appeal is gone. Biega could smash the guy

Edit. He is big but also incredibly soft. He has good hands but lacks the skill and determination to translate his game to the NHL

Good read Carol.

Long overdue news about the possibility of the farm team moving to the lower mainland.

Yep.

I guess it goes to show the present lack of depth in our forward group and with recent injuries on defense, we don't have much there either.

It is a transition year,(s) patience is needed, ho hum. I still like watching games and want to see them win, but still want to ffwd through this rough patch and see some of these recent picks join the Comets and have more options.

Be super easy for JB to monitor players.

Thats one thing I really like about JB is how hard he works. Watching players for draft and farm regularly. He does his homework
