The reason I like Miller over Markstrom is Miller even at his age will steal games for us. I dont remember Markstrom doing that once for us this season or last. Since Miller 1st signed I backed him up.

Markstrom has had some great games. In the last number of games not so much and instead miller has been sharp instead.

Markstrom will need enough games to stay sharp too though so its not surprising he hasnt been as good

Miller must be really introverted because he's awkward in interviews

THEY pulled it off. So tight it left stains. Nothing clean out there. Goalies were solid. Lots of missed shots so fitting one of the misses got Hank his goal. Now he's set up to get his 1000 point against Luongo. That would be fun to see hehe.

Sabers lose again tonight but Kane is still scoring. Seems hockey focused. Wonder if they would sell to Nucks what the price would be? Some of the Canuck assets offered before might look better now

JB says he wont be a buyer or seller.

If Kane is scoring price will be steep too

Not sure the time is right anyways

It is hard to imagine that Nashville are missing their entire top paring right now, and we still can't score.
- Retinalz

then there playing we score 3 go figure?

Had no idea that Megna was their best guy at drawing penalties. He might have been more worth it if the PP was...a PP.

Soft part of the schedule Canucks are picking up some points and treading water on bubble bar.

A little over a month to TDL this is it for line up. Only Hansen and PL expected back prior. Hutton towards the end of season. That's it.

Sbisa shows more value. But does that allow JB to let him go with D injuries and still in the hunt? Probably not. Same with Burr. No extra forwards to spare. Vegas draft be damed.

So Rodin is done for the season, no?
And so is Gudbranson and Dorsett.

When Hansen comes back and later Hutton, what does our lineup look like?

Sedin/Sedin/Hansen
Sven/Bo/Burr
Granlund/Sutter/Erikson
Boucher/Megna/Skille
Gaunce, Chaput

Edler/Stetcher
Sbisa/Tanev
Tryamkin/Hutton
Biega

If both Hansen and Hutton return around the TDL, those might be the only reinforcements we get.

Boucher will just be insurance don't expect more. His critical self assessment during 1st period had WD concur. Down to 4th line for a couple shifts in second. Benched for 3rd. Back to practice for him.

Rodin. Shut down might be best for all. Doubt he gets picked up by Vegas even more now. JB could offer one more contract chance in post draft signing.

JV. No chance this season. Only in emergency.

Next season those 3 plus BB might fight for maybe one or two spots (Burr & Vegas?). Chaput, Guance, Megna, Skille and DD will be back for more. No UFA's expected. No other prospects either including 2017 draft picks.

THATS the forward expectation in a nutshell from here until 2018 off season. Barring a surprise trade of course. The above with what's in top 9 now is all the forwards Canucks have for next 2 seasons. No one on Comets other then JV will be considered.

I never considered Hank might do it against Luongo. Fingers are crossed.

yeah, that really adds to the level of discourse in here...

not sure why people feel the need to go negative on everyone all the time... it gets pretty tiring and doesn't really encourage new blood to post...

Don't give up the hope ... I can see the headlines in Vegas now ....Rodin 4 Calder ...you must continue to fear this

i would be loathe to have JB trade any picks or prospects at the TDL for reinforcements... the only thing I'd like to see him to do is get rid of guys like Edler/ Tanev/ Burr/ Hansen for quality prospects or high draft picks in a deep draft year.

Miller will get another year and Markstrom will be a backup for another season. It's probably better to have Markstrom as a backup and learn and show consistency before the reigns get turned over.

Don't want a Jake Allen situation where he was given the no.1 after Elliot was traded.

Anyone in the hockey pool looking for a goalie? Lundqvist is available... he's really really good.

So how many thought we would be ahead of TB NSH and FLA at this point in time?

I think he will be the number one in a couple of years. 22 years old? Nice

It's such a huge feat that it is hard to comprehend.
