I think we have different definitions of prospect.
Prospect (pros-pekt):an apparent probability of advancement, success, profit, etc.

This list does not contain a top end prospect and the ones with the Moose are barely serviceable in the AHL this Year. Poolman might be ok, but he's not eligible until he turns pro.

If the Jets had a D-man to call up that could pass as a NHL level defensemen, they would have done it. Instead we get Melchiori as our depth. D depth is an organizational weakness.

The problem with this team is the make up of it. I'm not a huge Brian Burke fan but one thing I do agree with him on is how you go about making a team up.

You build from the net out. The goaltending position is the most important position on a Team. Since the Jets have been here in Winnipeg we have had subpar goaltending and when we had decent goaltending we made the playoffs.

To put 2 guys that had no NHL experience and essentially thro the season away to see "what they had" is insanity.

Maurice is a veterans coach. He has proven over his career that he miserably fails coaching young players. These guys can't even break out of the zone the PP and PK are horrible and have been horrible since the return of the jets.

I agree with Craig Button Maurice has to go and Hitch should be hired. They need to make a trade for a goalie because this City will not attract a free agent. They need to take a tip from Edmonton and deal to get a Goalie.

Look at Tampa and Edmonton, they had hit and misses until they found a goalie. Chevy has to make a deal because he may have to make a couple to get a #1.

We are also way to small. We need a power forward that can score. I watch the chances this team gets and if they had a guy that could finish it would help. Laine cant do it by himself.

Hitch would change the PK and PP immediately . They are a perimeter hockey team meaning all the players sit to the outside along the boards there is no net front presence at all. The PK is horrible and nearly aggressive enough.

I think by changing the coach and getting a goalie this team would be a lot different.

What would you think about hiring the "goalie whisperer" Sean Burke as an associate head coach and goaltender coach?

I would throw $5 million at Burke tomorrow if there was a hope in hell that he would come to Winnipeg.

Not exaggerating.

According to hockeydb.com, he's not coaching anywhere right now.

I ran the lottery simulator 20 times today. The Jets ended up with a top 3 pick, eight times, with 3 of those being number 1 overall.

Would love to Nolan Patrick on this roster next year!
