I think Giroux and Ghost have suffered the biggest drop in 5 on 5 production outside of Schenn. I have to believe they will all improve as the season goes on. Unless old age caught up with them at 29, 23, and 25.

Giroux's production should go up, but they're not the same case. Ghost has the best advanced stats, sheltered as he may be, of any d man. Giroux's underlying numbers are not good, beyond production.

Schenn has always been mediocre 5v5 all-around, except last year where he scored well. But that was always doubtful in its sustainability. But, yes, his numbers should go up too. Except he has the worst advanced stats among anyone in the top 9, so it's been quite deserved as well. Ghost is completely different from either.

The scariest numbers for Giroux at 5 on 5 play, is that he only has 4 goals and 7 assists in 45 games played. He only has 5 primary assists at 5 on 5 in 45 games played. Travis Konecny has almost doubled Giroux's assist total in 5 on 5 play with 13 assists.

Funny story, my best friend hooked up with a chick last year and she ended up being the baby sitter for Demarco Murray's kids. This is a silly statement. Wins and losses only apply to goalies, as the rest of the team plays no part in wins or losses. Evgeni Nabakov, Chris Osgood, and Andy Moog should be getting their calls from the HHOF any day now.
