The way he is talked about around here and the hockey community is a top 10 dman. Hes not playing like it whatsoever. You know me... I think Girardi should be nowhere near that top pairing but here we are.. Mcdonagh is dragged down so hard by him that he is looking very bad sometimes. why do you think he went to play the puck on the Benn goal? Probably didnt trust Girardi to do it.
Rangers need a dman trade in the worst way, gunna have to part with a fwd everyone likes. Do I think once the fwds are truly back (both conditioning wise and chemistry wise) they will look much better? Yes. But this defense is not going to allow NYR to win four 7 game series this spring
