They had a really nice core of dmen shaping up – risto, myers, zadorov, mcnabb and pysk.

Unfortunately they traded most away for pennies on the dollar and instead are left with franson, gorges, bogo and Kulikov.

As soon as they made that Kane trade they were (frank)ed. Zadorov I can understand because RoR is a quality forward... but yeah, the folks who were saying that last year when the defense was so clearly lacking were absolutely out to lunch. Sure, we finished much worse, but we also had all the kids in Junior/the A that were ready to make an impact.
