I haven't gone to that level yet, but we have a couple of nice places on the farmers market here that do good quality ground sirloin, lamb and chorizo depending on what kinda mood I'm in
- lumlums

you're saying ground chorizo?

that's desausaging the sausage

Also check out vrbo.com (vacation rentals by owner) - it's similar to AirBnB but seems to do more by way of whole homes/cottage while AirBnB also does rooms.

I eat A&Ws often enough because it's close. The novelty wears off and I find myself more regularly craving BK.

Harvey's is fine but they changed the way they do their toppings a little while back, like pieces of romaine lettuce instead of shredded iceberg, and I can't get behind it.

- TheMussel

My biggest complaint about Harvey's is still the fact that they changed their awesome (very unhealthy) coated fries about 10-15 years ago. They used to have the best fries, but now they are mediocre. I still like the burgers though.

Yeah, here in the US it's pretty common to get ground pork with all the chorizo spices (people LOVE their chorizo breakfast burritos!).... I think of it more as a deconstructed sausage

For sure. Do you know which part of the country you want to be at? (I may have missed that if you said it before)

Burger's Priest is great.

A good McDonald's hack is to get the McDouble, but ask for Mac sauce and lettuce added to it. It's basically a Mac without the interior bun, for half the price. If you say dressed like a Mac sometimes they'll even use the sesame seed buns, if they know what's up.

- Zezel

No kidding, I once went through a McDs drive through with a buddy and, because he had never seen that before, I was attempting to order it nicely

'Yeah a McDouble except with Mac Sauce and Lettuce"

The girl was completely dumbfounded. My buddy thought I was making it up that they did it. Finally, I resorted to the only way I've ever ordered them before

"MuggaluggaMAC"

She instantly knew what was up. I got my order, it was perfect, and my buddy became a believer

Try it next time, don't bother with the shpiel. Just say "MuggaluggaMAC". I think they train them to recognize it now

Eastern part of Canada - looking at 6 to 8 weeks stay, 4 week holiday, rest work (keep 6hr max time difference with Europe mainland).

Probably 4 weeks somewhere in nature, and then another 4 weeks in Montreal/Toronto (if not too expensive).

End of August people in Toronto should still be celebrating the Leafs Stanley Cup win

No way, really? I didn't know this, and I follow McDonald's lore. Like I read articles about their corporate business strategy and poop, like as a fan, like how I read about MLSE. How did I not know this code word. Thanks Wille! I'd like to sign you to an eight year extension.

I love it too, but I've been there a bunch.

their house beer is terribad too. I hated myself when I realized I could pay 50 cents more and get a Mill Street organic, which is in my top 3 beers ever

Ugh.

I can't eat McDonalds food. I can pile pounds of raw fish on rice into my gut, but one McRichards burger is all I need to demonstrate to the world the full extent of my digestive pyrotechnics

Yeah, the house beer is meh. They do have a decent rotation of microbrew taps and tallboys though, so there's always something good to be had.

And yes, Mill street Organic is delicious. Definitely had a good number while I was back as we on't get them down here

Okay cool, should be an awesome trip! You can also check out the vacation listings on kijiji, though I recommend having somebody checking the place out ahead of time if possible in that case (if you can).

next time you're in Hamilton, you are challenged to a sushi eating competition.

There is a place in Guelph (and Toronto) called Burger's Priest that is really good. Probably my favourite fast food burger.

The Whopper is good. I got a little sick of them because I went through a heavy Whopper Wednesday phase and ate several redacted Whoppers, but they are solid.

I've been investigating A and W lately. It's acceptable. I'm still a Five Guys and McDonald's guy at heart though.

Got this for xmas

I was pretty loaded at 4am on Saturday but I feel like I heard someone try and order that only to be told it was like $1.50 extra.

Done! I'm hoping to be back in May

I've never been to Sapporo tbh... I did have a bunch of sushi this past holiday, but it was all when I was in TO. Still, Mrs Lums also recommends sapporo so let's do it
