Hope what happened to players like Peca has not happened to Ladd. Anything is possible. I would still put him back with JT and especially since JT is playing so well. Ladd has been lousy, but only 5 games with JT is dumb.

Ladd does not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Peca. The Isles never missed the playoffs while Peca was their captain, and I highly doubt it was due to the stellar play of Alexi Ca$hin or Garth Snow.

Slow start for Chimera but 16 points in 42 games for a 37 year old dude really ain't that bad. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see him score 15 goals and 30+ points before seasons end.

Chimera is not the problem........quite frankly Ladd isnt either. We saw last year the Penguins who have all world talent sh!t the bed, and then changed coaches and looked what happened. Its become PAINFULLY clear that Capuano has lost this team. I dont care that they won 4-0 yesterday.....it doesn't change the obvious.

Chimera will be more productive than Martin which was an easy decision, Ladd will produce pts but his style of play wasnt essentially needed for the roster, but cant redo what smucko did....

You dont win two cups if you suck.........like I said earlier, case in point Halak. You dont outplay EVERY goalie in worlds and then all of a sudden suck. There are MAJOR problems within this organization and unfortunately is shows on the ice.

I forget where I read it, but the fact that the owners have remained silent is a good thing for us fans. They did not sign up for this horrific display. As soon as a new president is announced we can all exhale. I give all Islander fans credit, cause this has been the worst managed team in all prof sports (no need to list other crap teams). Two plus decades of mismanagement!!!!!

I'd bet dollars to donuts that Ladd signed here with the understanding that he'd be playing with JT. I guarentee you if they had a legit RW who was elite talent, Ladd coulda fit nicely with them. Ladd could have been the net prescence compliment to a 1-2 punch of JT and a talented RW. He's not a carry the team on your back guy.....and wihtout a RW he was expected to do so.

The answers are all in front of us.......Halak complained about the three goalie rotation for 2 years. At some point, he said phuck it........im getting paid no matter what. Im sure Ladd is feeling the same thing. Similar things are happening and its not by coincidence. Professionals or not, these guys are human, and while they're not gonna publically chirp, their on ice performance says it all. They're not happy, like we as fans aren't happy.

Reason 345 why Snow is incapable. Some GMs build from the goalie out, and some from the center down. Snow tried to build from the middle, yet his first line is not a first line. In 10 years, he's only had a first line for 40 some odd game (Vanek/JT/KO). So his recipe for success has been missing a few ingredients....

Chimera should have been used with Cal and Casey on a checking line. Chimera and Ladd have both not be used correctly.

Its also more than that. Ladd isnt what I would call a "skill" guy. He's a great compliment to a 1-2 punch of say JT and Duschene. Those two could open the ice up and create space, and Ladd can bang home a few. But to ask him to be carrying the puck and chip and chase, is not really getting the most out of him. He's a dirty area guy.....

There will be many changes in the offseason, the offense will improve greatly. But Snow will trade Greiss at the deadline and try to go with Berube in goal next year and it will be disastrous.
