Questionng someone who says JB lacks logic is not drama.
Back it up better.
It says BS on gettng into someones head yes.
A blatant silly post presuming JB does not use logic.

Unless u r playing at being Sigmund Freud of course πŸ˜œπŸ˜‚

Because he is unlikely to do any deals to weaken the team at the TDL, good possibility he protects Hansen instead of Granlund, and probably doesn't trade one of Edler/Tanev.
- Retinalz

Yes all true. His reasoning, by interviews, is that he rather stand pat and take the loss on one player then move a couple valued pieces for uncertain return. His issue is depth and movement of multiple assets is not a gain but loss by attrition.

Maybe there is a trading partner that gives good value for Hansen & Sbisa who are easier to move and have some established value.

Don't you think that an Edler or Tanev move at TDL, with Vegas expansion, are a big ask? Real complicated even?

I want Edler to go probably more than most but you can't let him walk for free.

He adds stability as the young guys grow. I don't like him but I know the team is better with him

So if we all understand that no big moves will be made, can i get a promise that there will be little to no freakouts when the TDL passes and we haven't made any significant moves?

I too believe that moving Edler would represent a sign that this team is going to be going through real change. Like Vantel said we are better with him in lineup. Next season we have a healthy Gudbranson and a more experienced Tryamkin to more than make up for.losing Edler.
Too bad it won't happen.(ntc)Tanev maybe.

- Reubenkincade

As much valued and liked Tanev is he's not a No.1 D. Elder is a fading one but still that. Not saying he was a star one but he filled that role. So he's more needed probably for the Nucks until either Tree or OJ can do that over a season.

Benning said he won't go to a player & ask he waive his NMC/NTC.
He also never said he would not force it in other ways.
Hanging an expansion team over a players head can be very motivating lol

Time for shrewdness & ruthfulness in the months leading up to next season.

So short sighted. You think the players aren't friends and don't talk? It's like any other boss / manager. If your boss treated your friend poopty at work would you work harder or less hard?

Need to treat them the same as any business, with respect.

Neither. I work just the same as always.
I'd expect my friends to deal with it themselves like any adult would.
As for talk that is all it is. No hen sessions for me.

Hockey is a business & only winning matters.
To that end a GM does whatever he can to help a team win.
Either short or longterm depending on the circumstances.
For us i'd say that its longterm definitely.
Making tough calls never is easy.

I dont even know what I want anymore.

I've wanted us to be bad for a couple years now and get some high picks. That 6 game winning streak was pretty tasty though.

And yes Im well aware this team doesnt stand a chance in the playoffs.

But I can only cheer for losing for so long.

The team has done everything it could to stay in the race...I'm proud of them for that. Seems management and coaching aren't as dedicated to making them successful with piss poor asset management and absolutely insane coaching practises. The boys have done the jersey proud...but the storm is coming and it's gonna take the good ship Canucks down. It's a win win. Boys gave there all and fell short. And we get another good pick...great time to be a true fan

I hear you. Well you can be consoled that two of the last three years Canucks were real bad and got the 5th & 6th pick. Lotto losers too. The year in between they got BB in the twenties and he seems to be the best draft prospect in years. So losing lottos and high picks not all that. It's the quality that counts. Winning is good

Piss poor asset management?
Roster Turnover happened all by itself did it?
Contradictory. Just say u want everyone fired & be done with it.
Then supply who replaces them πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

It is hard to cheer to lose, even if it means us getting a better pick. I think the draft lottery has taken some of the lustre off losing.

As the club keeps saying the goal is to make the playoffs, I hope we make it and if we just miss, I hope JB comes through with another solid first round pick.
