This team is so frustrating though.

Blow two stinkers, then come back and win a few. Then blow more

Only got to watch about half the game but the Sabres looked good and ready to go for the afternoon game. If Ennis can contribute offensively, say 10-15 goals before the end of the year, we could climb the standings some.

Lindell going waterskiing.

Edit: You're welcome again everyone. What's he at for today? Certainly more than last week combined.

I think the biggest questions for the remainder of the season are whether or not Toronto and Ottawa are as good as they have been up to this point. If not, the Sabres have a legit shot of finishing top-3 in the division. They just need to stay healthy and play a little more consistent.

This made me go hmmm

Especially the end part.

Conditional 5th that becomes a 4th???

For Romo hmmm...If you get Childress and run a West Coast offense Romo could actually work in Buffalo

Regardless, with the loser point, it would take a big winning streak of about 7 or 8, and then maintaining a good pace.

I still have no idea how trade value works in the nfl, i see a qb name i actually recognize and a draft pick ive come to understand as awful so i dont get it

I would keep Tyrod over Bortles, Tyrod at least protects the ball

Trades involving players are so weird they rarely happen.

In fact the Bills have made 2 of the most successful player for player trades in the last 5 years.

McCoy for Kiko and Hughes for Sheppard

Its interesting, kind of like the other football i guess. I just dont get the draft pick valuation. it seems all over the place. The movie draft day did not help with this

Everyone should be able to catch the Bruins. They've played about 70 games. Leafs rookies will hit a wall at some point and can definitely be caught. I think they'll finish just on the outside. Good season though. The Sens should make it as not many teams in our division seem to want to make the playoffs

The difference is a draft pick in the NFL will almost always get a chance regardless of where he was drafted. He will get playing time throughout the year and a chance to prove himself, plus they're at least 21 when they're drafted so that also weeds out a lot of guys and makes it more of a hit. It's really not comparable to the NHL draft system at all. A 5th rounder in the NFL draft will make more of an impact than a 5th rounder in the NHL draft which probably wouldn't see the ice for 5 years if ever.

It's definitely weird. And it's almost always "problem" players. Chip wanted no part of McCoy. The Colts were sick of Hughes, and who was the Pats guy that was traded in season this year? The one who went to Cleveland? The Pats, the guys who said "Sure let's take Correy Dillon and Randy Moss" let 2 of their good defensive guys go because they were too much of a problem.

Now's around the time for the Leafs rookies to hit the wall. I don't think Matthews will, at least not for very long, but that Swiss season is not very long. So who knows? What did he play? 49 games last year?

Edit: 36. So as well as the players being at a different level he's going to have to sustain it for another 46 games.

A leafs fan has one of the most optimistic views for the Sabres on this board. Sad.
