Not to be a Richard but am I the only one that doesn't get the Wickenheiser is the stepping stone of equality in hockey?

She couldn't play more than 4 minutes a night in the Finnish tier-3 league in her prime. Flunked out of the Swedish tier-3 league. Then couldn't even put up a PPG against 15 year olds in AAA...

a good Midget AAA team could probably rout the Olympic team but the point isn't that it's thatvthere are now more opportunities for girls to play without having to travel from Montrealnto chicoutimi because thats where the other girls' team is.

that's probably not far off to be honest. i've skated with D1 women's players from UNH. they ain't that good.

That's been floating around for a while...not sure if there's actual merit to it... regardless of what level it ends up being, I just don't watch it...

On a side note, I thought my niece would be into it growing up, with her 2 brothers playing...she has absolutely no interest.

that last Gold medal game between Canada and the United States was quite something

but yeah, it's always the same two teams taking on each other, there is no other competition...That will come with time I guess.
