The drawback of living in the centre of the hockey universe. Him and Tom Wilson

Most of the other pros have been pretty good though.

(frank) yeah.

That was my initial reaction but thats an awful contract coming back the other way too.

Id rather take a hit in value and just move the cap hit out.

On that note

Gorton has got to be a GM of the year candidate. The work he did with the cap, young players coming in without a 1st rounder and managing to find nick (frank)ing holden who's something like top 5 for D in 5v5 pts and primary assists.

They both have awful contracts. Bogo's ends in 2020 and Ryan in 2022. I dunno I might roll the dice and do it. I'll take Ryan's offense at his cap hit over Bogo's bar league senior B play on D.

Agree, however they are getting beat a decent amount lately and that high shooting % they had is coming crashing down to earth

Yea, this is normally where you'd bet on your 8.5 million dollar goaltender to cover that fall.

Im not sure what they can do if he doesnt get back to normal (which i guess would be super elite or something lol)

if you moved kane and moulson out Id consider it. Thats not a knock on kane im just thinking in terms of salary dedicated up front. if you find a way to move 10+ mil out without taking too much back its worth considering.

But I would take advantage of the fact that Bogo doesnt have his no trade anymore and see if you can either convince someone with the open expansion protection spots to take him (new jersey?) or give vegas some assets so that they take him.

I still have no clue who this team is getting that will be a huge upgrade in the top 4 without moving a key piece.

Ive narrowed it down to 3

Orlov, Shattenkirk, Faulk

Cap crunch, FA(long shot i know) and I think the emergence of Slavin, Pesce and all their other picks like bean and fleury will make Faulk trade bait. If our draft pick is high enough it might work as the centre piece.

Failing that you have to be prepared to move he who beats people up with his mind.

Gotcha. I was looking at each teams roster the other day for the expansion draft and potential protected players and there weren't many teams that had open slots for someone like Bogo. NJ, Arizona, Philly were the only ones I saw.

Moving out Kane and Moulson's contracts will happen at some point, although with Kane's improved play and squeaky clean life style I could see Murray not moving him.

But if Ryan put up 50+ points playing with Eichel and Reinhart, is it really though? We need help on the wings and he would help the PP as well. Just a thought.

Would you:

Evander Kane for Bobby Ryan

Around a Million difference in contract to take on....

- Irish 14

All day long, and I am not a Bobby Ryan fan. Kane is now starting to score but his overall game is not great. He kills the team every night in different areas (sloppy play, bad penalties, etc)

We should be able to get a good 4/5 D + a few picks for Fasching, right?

he is on pace for 32 points this year with karlsson as the d man

guys like hoffman, stone, turris etc up front

I will admit I don't watch the sens so I am not sure his game speed but I do know he is a fraction of the player, productive wise, than he was with the ducks and only 29 years old right now

I think a kane/ryan swap we

A. give the sens the better player
B. give the sens better cap situation
C. F@ck the Sens
