Flyers need to stockpile picks. Too many holes to fill and an expansion draft looming. Making the playoffs would be just about the worst possible scenario for that team. A clean house, cap space and a well executed draft is the route that makes most sense

Jesus what a load of poop this is.
Oh, and, Nice 3rd period by the Flyers - Aetherial
More like 5 minutes. But that's what you get when you are a known bubble team at the start of the year against a team that was a cup favorite. The Boston loss was more troubling to me.
Go watch the Hextall interviews after each game on the Flyers website. This is not a man who's going to make a panic move.

well - from an outsider's perspective... I would be looking at it more along the lines of "we(the Flyers) have so many D prospects" and we have a significant commitment to our forward group... and we have tried the mid-range goalie route repeatedly and that hasn't work out so well.."
at what point does Hextall go all in... Giroux and Voraceck aren't getting any younger. - BorjeFan4Ever
Sorry we already had a Bryz-aster I don't think Hextall is going to go make a move for any big name goalie especially since there aren't any complaince buyouts to save you if that move blows up.

In a couple of years?! You might not want to look at the term of his contract then. - highstick87
Hence why most montreal fans hated the trade. It wasn't the present, it was the 4 years at the end of his contract where he will need to be traded to Arizona along with a top prospect just to hide his cap hit...
We need more meat to the post. Saying it's a reliable source can be said by anyone. When you look at other sites they quote respected people in hockey.
