I agree. Except we all know Hank stinks right now and he's not going anywhere, and we all know we need a RHD but anytime u suggest one outside of Franson Stone or Shattenkirk you get jumped on as if those are the only 3 we could possibly target. Because Zibanejad was so widely rumored to be on the market/sarcasm

its gotta be Pirri who sits when Zibinajed comes back

Pirri is a PP specialist and Z will take his ice time

"You can"

I didn't say AV utilized his line this way. But he has inserted Fast on lines at the end of a game protecting a lead. He has used Fast when the other team has pulled their goalie. There is a reason for that.

We should just agree to disagree. You think he is worthless, I don't

- mdw7413

Absolutely can agree to disagree. But when people suggest adding a guy that can play physical/fight and not look at him as the odd man out? There's a thousand Fasts in the league(no one take that literally please, there's probably only 998)

I'm torn between Lindberg and Pirri.

Pirri leads the team in PP goals and he could go off on a scoring streak. Lindberg is a solid 2 way player, but doesn't have nearly the offense that Pirri has

I think the whole point, like I mentioned and then Pete did was the defense needs to be a priority over adding a physical 4th liner. There is plenty of time to add that over the summer. Its not going to make or break the Rangers chances in the playoffs. Where as Hanks play and the defense could definitely sink the Rangers this year.

Lindberg was terrible against the Habs. He needs to sit. Move Pirri back to the middle on the 4th line

Yeah, the way the defense and goaltending is going, I'd rather try to outscore the other team and Pirri gives a better shot of doing that.

Lindberg isnt scoring but he does seem to be the only player who cycles on this team. Not saying its necessary, and may be overrated, but he has a bit more grit as a 4th liner than Pirri. Its not a terrible problem to have.

Still no Marc Staal at #NYR practice. Zibanejad centering Nash, Buchnevich. Lindberg as the odd man out.

I would sit Pirri not Lindberg. Pirri is a RH shot which they now have with Zib back. Also, Hrivik cleared waivers.

Yeah don't disagree, its why I keep going back and forth who I want to stay in the lineup when Zibanejad is healthy.

Would be nice to see how Pirri does on the opposite side of Zib, could open up some room for him.

I would give him until the ASG to see what hes got and see if he can start scoring, then insert Lindberg if you have to

Not skating today-Raanta (lower body) expected to be sidelined 7 to 10 days. Staal & Puempel skated prior to practice (concussion protocol).

May cover this in blog today but wholeheartedly disagree with you. He is a perfect fourth line player, ocissiaonal can move up to the third but miscast elsewhere. Kills penalties extremely well, which adds to his value. Now if you wanted to argue that Marek Hrivik does some of the same things, I likely would agree. But the focus and hate on Fast in general and especially given the other issues on this team in my opinion is extremely misguided.
- airjan23

Fast is a perfect 4th line player & AV loves him. Why this dude has such a hate hard on for him makes no sense.
