Sather almost every year it seemed going back to his first few years here signed a tough guy or 2 in the summer. Matthew Barnaby, Chris Simon, Brashear, Boogaard, Mike Rupp, Michael Haley (an AHL tough guy), Asham & most recently Glass.
Sandy MccARTHY was a trade I think, or I would have added him...& Barnaby was a trade, w Tampa early in the 2001-02 season, had to look that one up. - B2B76
Barnaby was a trade...for Zedeno Cigar.

If VAN falls out... I could see NYR getting Burrows at the deadline for sure |

And plays in whose spot? Don't suggest Fast, we need more of Fast. He's someone I suggested a few weeks back, stirs the pot and can play. |

Jesper Fast +11, don't teel me it because of his linemates. Better +/- than 7 other regular forwards. Go ahead and tell us, tell us. |

he's a good goalie Hellberg, silver lining is they may get a better look at what they have here if they lose Raanta in expansion draft |

Need to play Hank for 2 weeks straight. he needs a chance to get his game back, or to decide whether his game is really falling off (which I don't believe). |

Wasn't question Hellberg's ability, just questioning the amount time Raanta will be out. |

Man, Cally is made of glass:
Ryan Callahan will miss approximately four weeks with a lower-body injury |

His size and the way he played his whole career, it isn't surprising. Played every shift at 100% but it takes its toll. |

Perfect, now is the time for the Islanders to make their move in the Metro. This is exactly what we've been waiting for. |

Cally and Girardi are almost carbon copies right now
years and years of wear and tear have really taken their toll, virtually same contracts, 3 years left with NMC's

Agree...but smaller guys like Theo Fleury never toned it down and they played a similar game; though, TF scored a lot more often.
Heart of gold, body of glass. |
