That hit sucked, but it was a hit to the chest and not the head. No injury from the play, either. There was never going to be a suspension. This reason alone is why the Rangers need a touch more grit somewhere in the lineup. I liked how JT Miller stood up and dropped the gloves there, but that isn't his game and he's lucky he didn't get his a$$ handed to him in that scrap.

please no Tanner Glass...

I get railed as if he's the Messiah, but Fasts spot is where I could see adding the grit from.

He's rather vanilla but I think others have said this about FAST, he's very reliable & seldom Makes mistakes &n does the little things AV loves, he's not going out of the lineup as long as he's Coaching.

I have said for a bit too we could use a sandpaper type forward before the deadline. How many out there anymore & how many a team wants to part ways with? I always say Chris Neil cause of his veteran leadership & toughness but he seems to love Ottawa & will retire there (he's played almost 20 yrs there).

It's all Nash's fault.

Not enough blame goes to him.

Yea Rangers offered Neil a free agent contract a few years back when he was a UFA and he turned the Rangers down to stay in Ottawa. He ain't going anywhere

Time flies, that was all the way back in 2009, we signed Brashear the same day, July 1, 2009, hot rumor was we were getting Neil too, I think he was offered a 4 year deal the rumor was by sather but stayed w the Sens.

Sather almost every year it seemed going back to his first few years here signed a tough guy or 2 in the summer. Matthew Barnaby, Chris Simon, Brashear, Boogaard, Mike Rupp, Michael Haley (an AHL tough guy), Asham & most recently Glass.

Sandy MccARTHY was a trade I think, or I would have added him...& Barnaby was a trade, w Tampa early in the 2001-02 season, had to look that one up.

THIS. That's the type of addition I think we need. Plenty of guy sleep that can play and fight/stir the pot.

Sather's trades are much more on point, he added grit in the past w Carcillo, Prust was a late season deal, Jody Shelly that 1 year was good for us. I liked Derek Dorsett for the most part. I never mentioned Colton Orr either, haha, 1 dimensional but tough as a ox & we got him for nothing.

Hell of a game, Cowboys sure have a bright future with Dak and Zeke. Now they can sure up that defense this offseason

Oh well, future is bright though. Now we can put all our effort into the Rangers and destroying RD.
