As of right now these two teams would me in the playoffs. Who thinks the Rangers stand a chance in Montreal with the Habs having home ice advantage and the clear advantage in net.

Why cause mtl won 5-4 yesterday two days after Price gave up 7? This make no sense to judge this off a game in January, how was Pittsburgh looking this time of year last year? |

Unless the Rangers find their own Matt Murray, Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang, then I'm sure they won't be last years penguins. |

I'm going to chalk this up to him just having a bad year and he will snap out of it. It doesn't seem to me his reflexes have slowed down, he's still making some unbelievable saves it'd his confidence that for some reason seems shake to me. The need for a RHD is undeniable though. Klein has regressed tremendously and G isn't the same player anymore. See if we can make a small splash, Stone Franson Myers etc with picks and prospects. |

Hrivik placed on waivers. Means Zib is ready to return. I would have waived Pirri |

Possibly more likely someone would pick up Pirri... |

And if Pirri wasn't picked Rangers would be on the for 200k in "wasted' cap space. |

By comparison, minimal. Plus waive who should be waived without worrying about 200k |

Pirri leads the team in PP goals. He is more important than Hrivik |

We have a serious Goaltending issue. We have a number one, who is making 8.5M a year, who is a future 1st ballot HOFer and owns every team goaltending record, and will have his number hanging from the rafters, who also, sometimes this year cant stop a beach ball.
What I cant figure out is how he can make 3 fantastic saves in a row, and then pucks fly past him like he's blindfolded. Last night, Montreal's 3rd goal, I know Hank was screened, but the puck was at the point. Why was he down on his knees? If it was to find the puck, it didnt work, he never saw it until he was digging it out of the back of the net. His 5 hole has been the Grand Canyon this year, it seems 80% of the goals he allows are going there. Maybe he should keep his stick ON the ice, since so many pucks go under it.
We lost that game because Raanta got hurt. The Bell Center is the last place you want to throw Hank into a game unexpectedly. It is his personal House of Horrors.
Antti - 20 mins 0 GA
Hank - 40 mins 5 GA
Last night I think we scored more goals on price than we have the last 9 games there combined, and we still lost !
Like every Ranger fan, I love Hank, but he is playing like crap this season. I just hope this is temporary, because if not, this is going to be a really ugly situation. - ELew11
Hank will be fine, he's got that Swedish Head and Shoulders money coming in

With that shot he has, how the heck doesn't Pirri score 30 every year? Blistering, top-shelf goals are nearly impossible to stop; and this guy can do it. |

The part that bugs me about Hank is after a d-man screws up or deflects one in Hank gives him the death stare . But when a soft one goes in on him the d-men don't turn around and stare him down .. Would get old playing in front of a guy doing this over and over |

Yeah but I will say that Hank has always acknowledged those goals in the postgame, I almost felt bad for him last night, he looked like a defeated man, he better see a shrink and get his shot together real soon or he'll have an entire fan base turn on him |

Confidence I would think. When he is on, shot is almost unstoppable. When he is down, he is really down |

Let's give this team a few weeks with Zib back to see where we're at. We're going to be rolling 3 #1 lines. I still think the 4th line could use some work but let's see where we're at. No doubt we need a dman though. |

Because I want what we all want, for the Rangers win the Stanley Cup. However the rose colored glasses will not blind me. Good teams win that game last night. It was a collective failure for the goal-tending on out. |

You are right, they should of but it's not the end of the world, they lose two straight in January, big deal, so what every team does. They are obviously doing something right as their record shows but as soon as they give up a goal or lose a game in here it's trade everyone, this team sucks, blah blah blah |

No Stanley cup team has ever lost back to backs in January, it's a fact look it up. We need to play Fast more, makes the team more responsible. /sarcasm |

Jesper Fast last night had 3 blocks, he & Grabner both played the most on the pk, and he wasn't a minus. 9 other guys that skated last night finished with a minus. |
