Stevens has interviewed for a couple of jobs over the years doe - Nucker101
Stevens would be highly sought after as a head coach if he wanted to leave LA. It's quite feasible that he is being groomed as the replacement for Sutter when he is ready to step down.

If the Flyers were in the head coaching market and Stevens was available, that would be a strong hire. - MJL
Not from my point of view. I want to be entertained by my team. Stevens is even less interesting than Hakstol. I was hoping for Fonzi after they fired Berube. |

Berube & Stevens will never be hired as NHL head coaches again. You can take that to the bank.
Another brilliant Holmgren move, hiring coach facepunch. - PLindbergh31
It's been speculated for years that Stevens will be Sutter's successor in LA and he's actually turned down gigs because of this. |

Sutter's 58 years old and can coach easily another decade. Stevens is just going to sit on a staff as an assistant for 15+ years? |

it would have to be for a number one over all pick or something like that
flyers 1st + 17 for overall #1
I think that was the deal Florida was asking for IIRC a few years ago - Marc D
I believe it was the simmonds, 2014 first, and 2015 first for #1 overall in 2014 (ekblad).
From what I've read the deal fell through because the flyers wanted lottery protection on the 2015 first (McDavid clause) and panthers wouldn't budge. |

Hak isn't going anywhere. Especially mid-season. Hextall has made a pretty big commitment to him. However, I do believe Hextall thinks this is a playoff team so things could change this off season if they continue trending down as a team. |

Im less frustrated they are losing then by how they are losing..
Not a single emotion shown when players get hit. No response and seemingly no pride in the jersey. |

Berube wasn't a bad coach either, but might be better suited as an assistant. - MJL
I sort of get the same feeling about Stevens, tho.
(even tho Stevens is like... at least 10x more brilliant than Berube) |

I don't. I think Stevens is going to make a hell of a head coach. I think he's waiting to take over in LA. Stevens has always been a strong technical coach. Now he has learned all the other tools from Sutter.
Great game in Dallas. What a finish. Aaron Rogers is amazing. |

What is this draft supposed to be like? A pile of crap or just a pile of crap in the first couple picks of the draft? Would it make sense to move into the 1st round in this draft? |

There are some real good players in the top 10 but the talent level drops off fast from everything I've heard. |

My biggest issue is, how is G OK with his play? And i dont mean points, i mean the gliding back, the lack of "hustle".
Isn't there pride?
Doesn't that C on your jersey mean something?
You can't look around the locker room and hold the other players accountable when you are out there doing the very thing they are, or doing even less then your team mates are.
I love G and defend him, maybe to much, but this lack of "hustle" is indefensible.
