the scary thing is that Lundqvist looked like this in the first round vs the Pitts last year too
these long shots just find their way in these days, it seems like he doesn't see the puck well anymore or his reaction time has really slowed

I don't think we or more importantly they (Rangers brass) even considered for a second that Hank might be on the decline. I don't want to think this but what if he is on the way down? WHat if it is a fast downward trend & he is closer to being done? Frightening thoughts but one that has to be at least considered now. What is our Plan B?
Team is not fine cause they can't play D to cover up the swiss cheese in net, so they need 6 a night and I'm not sure that's enough

The issue is not just Hank. If you are watching the games, you know the D is also not doing it's thing with downright pathetic giveaways and lack of physical presence to clear the front of the net.
Hank is not playing well...it shows, but he is not fully to blame. Please stop the Hank bashing and come to a realization that every D-man, with the exception of maybe Holden, have sucked. The biggest culprit, again if you watch the games, is McD. Perhaps it's because he plays so many minutes, but it's McD that is making a ton of mistakes and being in or near the crease for pucks to bounce off him and into the net. I have seen this far too much lately, but everyone just goes and blames Girardi out of denial. Yes, Klein, girardi, Clendenning, Skjei, and Staal have effed up, too, but it's been McD that has made the most mistakes lately.
The forwards are good. I would explore trading McD to see what the return would be and start there. It's going to be the best way to fix the D with it being such a mess right now.

Rangers need come to the reality that yes Hank has been a rock for us for many years but I think you have to ride Raanta right now. It's really upsetting to say this but the Rangers play better in front of Raanta. I really have lost faith in Hanks ability to make that timely save. I mean we are spoiled as Rangers fan because of him. I use to think when Pachioretty had that breakaway last night that there was no way Hank was going to let that in. These shots from the point at least one goes in every night when they play.
There defense is a huge issue. Clendening was atrocious last night but I don't except him to be good on most nights. Mcdonagh and Skeij the last 2 games have been garbage. Girardi and Klein are ehhhhh that's all I got for them. I really don't know who is available but something on defense needs to change.

His ego has taken a huge hit this yr. He's always been the man here, for 12 years, it's been primarily a free ride. Little to no criticism but he has to take the hits here. He has to be better, much better.

Miller stepped up last night, took on Shaw after that stupid late hit on Fast & scored what could of/should of been a very big goal there that gave us the 3-2 lead.

Any update on our season I mean Raanta? People thought we needed 1 top 4 defensman but really we need 2, I'm loyal to Girardi but between him and Klein it's hard to watch, what was once the foundation of this team has eroded and at a frightening pace

AV needs to call him out, he responded to the challenge at the start last season, I've defended this guy for 12 years to all the ignorant Devils and Isles fans, always thought he'd get the last laugh, didn't ever think he'd come crashing down at 35
After watching that Patches breakaway again, I swear Hank gave up on it before it was even shot. Guy has 0 confidence right now.

This is where I disagree.. Think the forward group is excellent. Defense is average, but Klein has been absolute garbage. Hank lost that game last night.
Need to get that right side defender and hope someone takes Klein. Hank needs to play just a bit above average and they will be fine.
