Our D prospect depth isn't great.. what's the story on Dermott and Neilsen? Were they traded? I hear nothing about them anymore.

Both doing quite well in their first year in the AHL. I believe Nielsen is 2nd in Dman points for the league and Dermott had a couple of points yesterday. Think he's recently back from injury

He just doesn't seem to put the effort in, but playoffs are different animal and you need a big body like that.

This team is being built proper and for long term success. They aren't winning anything this year.

Well that's kinda the thing.. is it better to wait to trade a guy who inevitably going to be traded, or trade him now to bolster a glaring weakness but maybe not get the best return possible?

I think if you factor in the Leafs score with ease, JVR doesn't really have the work ethic this team demands, and he was a Burke player it kinda evens out. Did Edmonton really lose the Hall/Larsson trade? Hard to say how bad their D would have been without him.

I think if he gets moved no one is going to complain about it.

But if the senatard won it cleanly it would have been to the boards and a senatard defenseman would have scooped it up.
