"Andersen, watch yer back!!!"

Some big name European player should just lambast him during an interview. It's mostly Canadian players who call him out.

And on another note; my sister is getting pretty serious with a Danish guy.. I might have a little redhead nephew/niece someday.. Imma name him/her Freddy or Fredrina.. and tell them folklore stories about the Great Dane who ever lived.

Brodin would be a good pickup as well.
- BetterCallSaul

both Brodin and Scandella have similar contracts... although I think Scandella is much more offensive free skating type player than Brodin, certainly less heralded and the Wild are likely to lose either Scandella or Brodin in the expansion draft.

He probably was lost and thought he was at a Trump rally.

He sat down and shut his hole, he must of remembered it was an NHL arena and he couldn't bring his guns in.

Don't forget to emphasize that they need to hold onto the danish language and culture

When I was a Leaf game in Tampa there was a dude about 8 rows behind me that wanted to climb down and attack me.
I was with my wife , her parents and 2 of her parents freinds. All of whom are in their 70's.
Big tough Americans.

seriously ... its one thing to get in a scrap when you are playing (which I have done on multiple occasions) but fighting while you are watching a game...

Sitting in a playoff spot, with games in hand on a lot of teams, rolling at the halfway point...this is a stupendous state of affairs if you're a Leaf fan.

How about Kadri with 18 goals? And actual goaltending. Andersen has been all-world goaltending actually.

You know it's good times when you look at Nylander's numbers and he's supposedly the rookie that's kind of 'in the doghouse'.

Those three kids on three different lines...it's brilliant, but then when you put Nylander and Matthews out as a combo they are a deadly combo as well.

This cat is one happy Leaf fan man this is the poop.

The (frank)ed up thing is....I was a huge advocate to get Stamkos. So glad it didn't happen (hindsight is 20/20).

Now I don't even want Tavares. Well....unless something changes in terms of injuries and what not. Especially with Kadri on that bargain contract.

Trying to fight a 50 year old that's with his wife and his in-laws is even more effed up.

Didn't even know there was such a thing as a hard core Tampa fan.

no offense intended... but if he could be replaced HNIC and CBC would have done so long ago.

there's outrage and fake outrage... and Canadians, particularly Canadian media are masters of fake outrage... and there any number of hockey people who have had it in for Cherry for years.... heck I think he even has a contract that is done a week or a month at a time..

Cherry's biggest flaw (my opinion) is he's outspoken and forceful about his hockey opinions... and that's fine - its just hockey. Where he blunders is when he wanders off the reservation and gets into other areas. But there's the rub... he does and should take on others when they wander into the hockey realm.... and certainly more often than not he has been proven to be correct about the hockey stuff. Canadian youth should not buy into the media narrative around Cherry - that he's somehow and embarrassment - he isn't - except to people like Strombo, who would love nothing more than to bring him down and would like nothing more than to have his job. The smart more experience journalists/folks within the Canadian media steer clear.

I would be really curious, who the younger folks would see as a replacement for the Coach's Corner segment?

- BorjeFan4Ever

Donald Duck would be an upgrade at this point.

I think you're way off about Canadian media being master manipulators lol.. agree to disagree I guess.

He's just that loudmouth uncle you see once a year.. a state funeral for him would be a waste of tax dollars imo.

For many years the fans were not able to trust in Management. Now, I finally think we are. Love the path the team is taking. The kids are (frank)in fun to watch, The speed and pressure they play with now is so much better than watchin some team play the (frank)in trap.

Hockey fans typically aren't any more polite than other fans.. I've seen lots of fights at games in Ottawa and I've even been involved in 2 (one in Calgary). I'm not saying Don Cherry is advocating for fans to fight, he supports men beating each other for entertaining value. He's never once touched on the issues of ptsd or what happens after they retire. He hides behind this rediculous argument that it prevents injuries.. you never see former fighters say they like Cherry. Tie wouldn't let Max be a goon because he doesn't want that life for his son. But yeah, hooliganism is not really a North American thing.

Most hilarious thing I have seen was handled beautifully and directly by a 70+ year old granmother .... I am Silver Sticks in Sarnia with my kid then aged 9 or 10... SO you can imagine how intense (joking) the games were. I'm watching the game preceding my kids game... standing back row on railing ... and there's some woman(middle aged - I'm assuming the mother of a player) from a team in Michigan who is just laying into an official over and over again... this went on for about 10 minutes. Older lady gets up out of her seat a few rows below, turns around and simply states "do I have to come up there discipline you or are you going to shut up"? ...

waits about 10 seconds... and then calmly sits down.

thing of beauty... and she did it when there was a quiet moment so everyone around clearly understood what she said.

So that Auston Matthews kid is pretty good.

Watching some gifs on twitter from last night's game. Good times.

Also, sportsclubstats have Leafs playoff chances pegged at over 80%

my brother in law - who at the time was in a bike gang (this was a long time ago)... told me there's two types of people you never mess with.... never scrap with a guy who's with his wife or girlfriend OR the quiet guy who is calmly ignoring the nonsense going on around him.
