Even the talk of Stamkos possibly being on the market heated up debates that Giroux is as good as Stamkos. Mind you I'm fully aware Stamkos is hurt now and has been for two seasons but when healthy, Stamkos is better.

Heck, we've had biased debates of Torts style/system of hockey. We could have got him. Total game changer. Classic after game interviews.

Something bigger than scratching a player for a game needs to happen. The Flyers are in a free fall right now. Giroux hasn't looked elite or even all-star this season. He had some moments in November the beginning of December but mostly he's unnoticeable and shows up here and there in his PP specialist role. Jake has been dominant and shown his top winger in the NHL status this season but he's been quiet and playing uninspired hockey for a stretch now. Gostisbehere, in my opinion, has been micro-managed horrendously by the coaching staff, deflating his confidence and turning a player who was a constant threat on the ice every game last season to the player we see today sitting in the Cote Suite.
