I'm seriously amazed that this team is bottom 5, and doesn't have the assets to get some of the big names that are available.

Amazed.

GMTM botched the rebuild. Plain and simple. There are several teams better than we are now, and positioned to be better than us going forward.

It's crazy how Toronto blew by us in terms of rebuild speed

Botched? What did he do to botch it?

Not get the first overall pick? He could have done nothing much to make us better this season, so I am not sure you can say he botched it, yet.

Maybe the best thing you could say is hiring Bylasma.

I didn't like Myers, but in all honesty, if Winnipeg wanted more than Meyers for Bogo and Kane, I would have told them nah, bro.

Kane and Bogo could easily have been replaced by free-agency signings, then Myers could have been flipped almost straight-up for O'Reilly, and we would still have had Lemeuix, Armia, Grigorenko, Zadorov as trade assets.

That first for Lehner? Does Trouba or Fowler sound good to you? It would have taken more than the 1st but why we weren't trying for one of them to begin with is another thing I question about Murray's decision making.

A few of us seem to agree, he severely overvalues players that give him a hard-on and it's led to a few teams fleecing us in trades.

- BeadyEyedDouche

Overreact much?

Fleecing us in trades? Kane, had he been healthy, is on pace for almost 30 goals. 30 goals, in this day and age, is more like 40-45 in the 80's. How many do those slugs on Winnipeg have, COLLECTIVELY? 8? 9? Collectively. Armia looks more like the career AHLer you describe earlier.

And you know for a fact that all these other gm's go for these scenarios you say would have definitely happened? It's just that easy to make trades and sign free agents, in a league where, a lot of times, trades have to be $ in for $ out, and where most players worth a sh!t don't ever hit free agency. Yeah, Sounds easy to me.

You guys whine and cry that Regier never pulled the trigger, never took a chance, never had any balls. Now we actually have a GM that does/has all these, and he's terrible.

I can't wait until they rattle off 3 in a row, and it'll be rainbows and unicorns again.

Doesn't change the fact that he's our second leading goal scorer, despite missing a dozen games.

I agree that the trades DID make us better and is sad we are not doing better in the standings, but don't put that on Murray.

He's got 16 points for Christ's sake. He'd be tied for 11th in scoring on Montreal, an actual good team.

He's had a great streak that won't continue, and he will be hurt or suspended before you can say Track Suit

Stop skewing the facts, as you always do, to fit your agenda.

He's the second leading goal scorer on this team. Fact.
