I agree - i think we should move Kane now while his value is relatively high. I don't think he would resign here after next year because he is a big city, bright lights kind of guy. Or if he did, he would make a stupid demand of $6 million+. Plus he is only 10 drinks and a young blonde away from getting into serious trouble again. He could be the key guy in getting us a solid #1/#2 D man. Teams covet guys like him, particularly heading into the playoffs. His role can be filled by Bailey moving forward.

I love Kane on this team and make no mistake ...... the Sabres are a better team with him on the ice............ but I agree 100% he's not re-signing here no matter what. That said ............ if GMTM can get a great deal for him go for it.

I'm not a Reinhart fan, but unless it's for a D man, why?

I still like the Sabres direction, but it's time to get out from the under performing players, regardless of cap implications. Moulson, Gorges, Bogo should all go. I still think Gionta should be gone. Even if you tie up the cap with dead money, you can bring in faster, hungrier, cheaper players to make up for the lost cap space. I would give Murray and Bylsma 1 month next year and then can them both

Reinhart has more points and is averaging more ppg this year, doesn't have his history of injuries piling up, is 3 years younger, and Reinhart is on his ELC still...
