Why in the hell do all these chat rooms dwell on negatives or try to be coach and GM.

Yet some of us still find positives like the depth is improving, the team is younger etc.
- VanHockeyGuy

Yes, this transition is showing positives. Like Vantel and Lefty have pointed out it's trending there but there is frustration over the pace. Whether there are issues over deployment, player integration and asset mangement is a focus of debate. This all overlaps with the call to push for opening up spots; or turn vets into prospects. So taking the positives, we move forward and talk about how it is all applied. HB wouldn't be the same without it, right

I'd say it is related to the fact that the team sucks, but then I remember that some whing even when we winning. So...I'll go with haters gonna hate.
- dbot

Haters gonna hate is so overused & nonsense to begin with. Sorry
Same as if your not cheating your not trying.
Some sayings r straight out silly.

Unfortunately it's a trait in all walks of life, someone somewhere always think they know what's better, even when they have absolutely no insight into the topic in which they're criticizing.
- Makita

Dwelling on the negatives is simply reactive.
Its what ppl do when anyone with sense looks ahead.

Heard a saying years ago...
Character is tested in the face of adversity.
That is in the now not the past which cannot be changed.
Its all about what u r gonna do next.

That depth includes RHers in BB & JV.
Our lefty imbalance hurts us IMO

Grandma use to say...
When u have lemons u make lemonade.

Apply that to the Canucks & u work with what u have.
The transition to a new core is underway. Patience.
Drafting & prospects is deeper than ever before.
RFA's get locked up & rarely hit the market.
D Hamilton is one example of when they do & the price is steep.
Thats leaves only UFA's which also r drying up.
Examples of poor longterm contracts for players happens now.
Older vets eg Thornton want to resign & not leave & for 3yrs at that.
Parity & the cap have made it obvious this is not changing any time soon.
That leaves drafting & trading the only viable ways to make change.
Trading has become difficult & any top talent the asking prices very steep.
That results in very few big deals & leaves only drafting as the route to take.
Thats where we stand & JB is gettng us there slowly but surely.
Our roster turnover since he took over has been dramatic.
Aged vets will be gone in the next few years to come while the BO show continues.

I actually liked that, Sutter is OK in my books...now I'm going to make a statement that may bring criticism from the many here....there is actually quite a lot of country music I like, and I can't stand rap of any kind. There I put it out there and feel better for it...
