If he manages to save himself I won't watch a game next season. Enough of this circus already what's the excuse now for not firing anyone holiday weekend? - Cptmjl
It's always a holiday with this crew. Everyday is Country club day. It's too late for Garth to try to save his job. |

The article was fine until he said they should look to trade Leddy. But I don't think we want to see Garth making any desperation trades that'll screw the franchise even more. Just let this season ride out and hope that Ledecky fires both at the end of the season.
If Garth is still the GM at the trade deadline, Ledecky better not let him do anything other than trading Seidenberg for a pick. - NYI44
Brilliant Larry. Trade the one dman that can skate the puck out of trouble. I agree no big trades from Garth. He had years to make impact trades. He should not even be in charge anymore, but he needs to have everything approved by Ledecky. |

If he trades Hamonic for Duchene or Landeskog (Colorado would hang up on snow btw) he looks like a (frank)ing moron for not trading him straight up for Hall (which he'll always look like a (frank)ing idiot for). If he trades Leddy he's a (frank)ing idiot for doing just that to try and salvage a season that's already over. Nothing and I mean NOTHING will salvage this season. Time for these clowns to be fired put interms in and reset in the summer. That's all that should be done now. Snow SHOULD NOT be allowed to do anything. - Cptmjl
I just love how it always comes down to trades and getting a better coach is never the answer. Larry did not say one word about Cappy. Is Cappy related to every hockey media person? Garth should be ripped 24/7 but do not give a pass to Cappy and this lousy staff. Garth and Cappy are in this thing together. Cappy is not a helpless victim. |

Another win. 3-2 mail biter. Although the PP only went 1 for 4 tonight. Cunningham (the one that collapsed) was there for the game tonight. He had part of his leg amputated last month. Big emotional lift for the team. Took the grandson and he got a puck. Just a warm up puck, but he was happy.
How'd the Isles game go? Zippy have them playing like last night? - Isleshockeyman
Wow I didn't know he had part of his leg amputated. Having him there was emotional for sure.
Memory the grandson will have for the rest of his life.

(frank) that. If I'm Ledecky I'm telling him no trades. You put this together, you live and die by it. I'm not going to have him sacrifice any part of this teams future just so he can pull his ass out of the fire. He'd only be doing it to try to save himself. Him and dipsh!t can go (frank) each other in snows basement. |

Been wondering that myself, capt...... So I came up with a theory. Snow is trying to hide Pulock in the AHL, so that he doesn't have to protect him in the expansion draft. |

He still had to be protected if they want to keep him. 2 years pro hockey. |

I know. That's the point. Snow thinks he can hide him in Bridgeport, and he won't be noticed by Vegas..... |

If Garth had any interest in saving himself why not fire Cappy earlier this season? I would also trade Hamonic before I traded Leddy. - ses111
His trading Leddy before Hamonic is a stupid statement. Other than that it's spot on.
Let me answer his question of whether Snow has the knowledge to fix this? In two words, PHUCK NO. He's the architect of this mess and we need a new direction and rid ourselves of this idiot, his ego and band of hired misfits.
Then and only then can the Islanders grow into a true contender.
I too as Cpt, I believe said will not watch the team next year if Snow is still at the helm.

Brooks is either a moron, or he is simply motivated by his dislike of the Islanders to propose trading the Isles' best d-man. I believe it's the latter, but whichever the reason, it's why I never read him........except when ses posts the link. |

I think he's had a couple of injuries, seems to be a bit injury prone in his young career. That said he should be with the big club the last two years and not with BP.
This teams development program is a huge problem, another one of the many reasons the GM needs to go. |

That was beyond dumb suggesting the Isles trade Leddy. You also cannot mention the Isles troubles without mention the lousy coach staff. I get the team might not have Cup winning talent, but you cannot tell me the Isles would not be much better with a proven coach. I'm tired of this staff getting a pass with the hockey media. If Cappy let's Garth treat him like a puppet that's on Cappy. |

Ses I just think that typically a new GM would bring in his own supporting cast so when your firing the GM typically everyone goes with him, unless the new GM thinks a certain person/persons are doing a good job. That's why Brooksie doesn't even mention Zippy imho. |

He has had some injuries, but he's never been given a real shot. Hamonic asked for a trade last year and Pulock had to sit over guys like Strait and Zid. |

This is true 7, but you cannot talk about this lousy Isles team and skip over the coaching staff. It should not be hard to have one article mention how bad the coaching staff is and hold them accountable as well. |

Larry is a dope. Trading for one of those players is not going to save the season. Will getting one of those players teach this team how to play defense and match lines? This team is beyond the help of one wing for JT. Cappy and this staff will still be clueless. They had KO, Frans, and Martin last year and if Greiss does not stand on his head they are out in the 1st round again. |

That's fair Ses, he seems like the teflon coach.
After watching last nights game, don't know why I do that to myself, where the team did a full reversal of what they did well against the Cats( as poopty as they are ) I would have fired Zippy today with an interim coach and I wouldn't care who it is.
