You wouldn't understand because you've never played hockey. A player who is good enough to make it to the NHL plays with passion. More than 99% of the time a hockey player steps out on the ice it's innate that they will give it everything they have.(there are exceptions among some of the super talented players like Kessel, Koralev, Yashin but it's pretty rare)

Big Karl is just making excuses for not having playoff success. His statement is ridiculous and I have no doubt that his coach let him know.

The fact you called me an idiot is one of the funniest things that has ever happened to me, ever, in life.

Mr. Tanner, which two of Bonino, Hagelin, Rust, Sheary, and Kunitz are legitimate top line players on a team that doesn't have an all world player to play with? Pitts top 9 is great, but they don't have 6 first line worthy players. A top liner means you're elite. Bonino, Hags, Rust, Sheary and Kunitz are all good, not elite.

If you're just going by production, Sheary counts. 11 goals, 25 points in 34 games. Been a nice fit with Crosby. Probably not getting that many points with another center, but he likely can clear the 45 point pace Tanner set since he's probably around 60 now.

Bonino is at a 36 point 10 goal pace though. That's good for 3rd line, but I'd disagree with top line pace.

I'd agree that Bonino is a good middle six forward. Sheary, Malkin, Crosby, Kessel & Hornqvist are all producing as legitimate top line players. Rust, Bonino, Hagelin, are borderline top 6 guys. Kunitz might be but the goal scoring just isn't there anymore.
