He is a Shaw/Marchand type player, WHOA-WHOA with obvious difference I know, before you jump all over me, but contenders often have those type players, that dig in and annoy the poop out of the the other teams skill guys and still have the ability to score.

We have a couple/few now.

For a guy who can move around the lineup and not really miss a beat....I find it funny people think we should make him available for the expansion draft. I don't think he gets left avail IMO.

Does anyone really care if we lose Martin, Komarov or Marincin in the expansion draft? I sure don't.

Martin seems to be the Leafs Cheerleader, babysitter, role model and Team spirit leader. I bet the Leafs want to keep him.

I am ok with Both

I still like Komarov, he definitely isn't as effect as last year, but that's probably because he gets the puck less with all the skill in the lineup this year.

If we were to loose him I would rather we get a pick or something back rather than loose him for nothing. Hardest working guy last year and still hits a ton and creates opportunities in the offensive zone given his pesty play along the boards and in front of the net.

Yeah, I'm generalizing here, he's a decent plug. But having seen guys like Grabovski and Kulemin regress so rapidly, losing Komarov just doesn't bother me. I to would like an asset back, but whatever we have to do to meet the expansion draft requirements without giving up our other assets, I'm willing to do.
