I don't think I can consider him on even a remotely close tier to Reinhart as Strome already has a 50 point season under his belt. The whole idea of a 1st for him was assuming extra assets coming back with him; our 1st for Strome and a 2nd perhaps. I'd honestly consider moving Eberle for Strome and a 2nd or a prospect like Ho Sang right about now, but that'd be poor asset management. - MaximumBone
I would never want to introduce a problem child like Ho Sang to our locker room. That's just asking for problems. And as for Strome, Yakupov had a bright future ahead of him too. Sometimes things don't work out. Unless the cost is gonna be close to what we got for Yak |

Yes, but then who do we protect this summer? - Ihatebrianburke
Tough to say. In my ideal scenario, we'd have also move on from Eberle, but it's hard to say how exactly. If the team can go into the expansion draft with Draisaitl, Nuge, Lucic, Maroon, Klefbom, Larsson, Sekera, Green (or similar) and Talbot protected, I'd be happy. I doubt Vegas would pick Sheahan over Davidson or Pouliot. I guess my ideal move still centers around moving Eberle in or after that sort of deal. |

I don't think of him as a problem child. He's an outspoken guy who just so happened to have trouble waking up on time once. He's an offensive dynamo who plays at a position we're lacking at and has been around and played with McDavid before.
As for Strome, I think what I suggested is pretty damn close to what we got for Yak. The difference between our 1st and their 2nd is around 10-20 picks. That's not that much more valuable than a 3rd. |

I'm all for moving on from Eberle. Sheahan is having a terrible year though. I'm not so sure Davidson will get picked either. He hasn't played well since he came back. |

Our devil was once the GM of the year dont forget that. - SRam19
fixed....he was not the GM of the year in 2013 when Horvat was drafted though which makes the award a moot point |

He's an offensive dynamo - MaximumBone
I'm pretty close to on Ho Sang's level - he's only got me beat by 3 AHL goals, though I've played 30 less games than him down there.
Makes me laugh during interviews leading up to '14 draft "In 3 years I'll be the best pick from this draft."
Leon, Ekblad, Ehlers, Pastrnak, Larkin, Fabbri, W Nylander etc are all retiring I guess

I don't know much about this kid, but looking at his stats why was he a 1st round pick.
He wasn't exactly crushing it out there. |

Another classic example of snow over valuing a pick because he thinks he's smarter than everyone else.
Ho-sang has talent but keep in mind he plays for the Isles organization. His development will lag because of that. Their idea of development is sitting them in the press box. |
