Canes' saving grace is that we still have to play the Islanders 5 times this year. Majority of their games the rest of the season are against non-playoff teams.

I'd agree that long term Ghost could be the odd man out.

Myers/Sanheim/Provorov would and should provide plenty of the offense. I think Hexy would value the size of the other guys over ghost. Plus the fact is all the other players are Hexy's guys.

As far as timing goes this year isn't the right time. Sometime next year and possibly the 2018 draft feels about the right time to make a trade like that

I would say Ghost is projected as the worst balanced prospect coming up through the pipeline, although after a solid start, Brandon Manning has returned to crap. I wouldn't trade Ghost until we absolutely need to and this should be after the current crop of kids enter the league.

I personally would have trade Streit last summer. I'm disappointed that we've played things out with him for this long. Too long.

The Flyers can gain a lot of ground soon as they have a bunch of Metro games to go. But it also could be their undoing.

Philly games aren't often televised for us on the west coast. I watch a ton of highlights though and try and keep up with some of the philly blogs. I envy your D prospects so much....

This season, I'm unsure. You would hope so though

Prayer is they come out in the first period and look like dog poop and some of the playoff heroes in attendance break into the locker room kick out the current crop and suit up to finish the game.

lol Horvat is one of our better stories for this season. He has been fantastic.

I hope that he is done after tonight, however I know thats just wishful thinking.

Maybe if we get all of the fans in Philly to start talking about how amazing Amac is we can trick a team into thinking he is actually good.

2) Flyers want AMac to play in 40 games so he can be exposed in expansion draft. Which is all fine and good except that means they want to use a protection slot on Brandon Manning. To think of Manning that highly troubles me as well, considering he's a 3rd pair defenseman. Only way I'd be OK with this is they want to work out a short-term fair deal with MDZ before draft and then protect him.

We don't have six forwards on this team that can spell compete.

2) Flyers want AMac to play in 40 games so he can be exposed in expansion draft. Which is all fine and good except that means they want to use a protection slot on Brandon Manning. If the Flyers had a 2 on 0 breakaway right now, they'd end up flubbing it by passing it back and forth because both guys would want to defer.

From a numbers perspective, it will be hard. But I think he's actually gotten better in some aspects this year. Just been so unlucky.
