That sounds pretty sweet. Shockingly, I did not see Rogue One yet. Guess I'm not such a nerd after all. - ses111
I saw the original 3 that were released. On dvd, not in a theater. A couple buddies of mine are Star Wars geeks, so I watched it with them. What can i say, they brought beer. I went to see one when they re-released it and fell asleep 10 minutes in. |

You sound like my brother. He took his son to Rogue One and he fell asleep. |

I'm not saying you or anyone in particular but there were plenty of here saying it wasn't the right time to shat can these clowns. There's no time like the present - Cptmjl
The right time to dump those clowns was about 2 years ago. When Kulimen & Grabovski were signed, for their one anomalous productive season. Bad evaluation of talent followed by 2 awful contracts. The money spent on them has handcuffed Garth into letting KO walk and not being able to offer MM another $500k or so to keep a very effective line together. Maybe Frans would have stayed if there was a different coach...or maybe a better FA than Ladd would have joined the team. It's sickening that even now, as the whole Islanders universe has finally accepted that these are not the guys to get it done, the new owners are dragging their asses in the mud when the team is dead last in the East, contending for the top overall pick. |

I dozed off for 10 seconds or so about an hour into the movie. |

I guess I have to be the only Islander/Star Wars fan? At least Star Wars wins. Except for the time they had that Garth and Cappy character Jar Jar. |

If I were in New York, I'd totally be on board with walking out during the fist period to show em lol. As an outsider in Ottawa, all I can do is female dog about the same thing over and over....fire Fred, fire Garff, and start next year NOW |

My wife did for about an hour. I tried but she kept moving. Plus my boss wad stirring right behind me and I'm a notorious for snoring. Want exactly the time for it. So I grit my teeth and forged ahead. |

Frans might have stayed if snow wasn't a moron and offered him a contract several months earlier. Instead, he truly believed he was bringing in Stamkos. I think him and his ego believed that frans was a lock to re-sign so there was no need to pay attention to him. The more I think about it the more I believe that snows whole problem is his ego. I think he's very fragile mentally. Most of us, if we hired someone and they didn't work out, would get rid of that employee. Then just say, that was a swing and a miss, or I missed on that one. Not snow. Everything is unicorns and candy canes in Snowland. The 3 goalie speech is my prime example. He said that's what I want to do. So go fvck yourselves fans. |

So Mike Sullivan got tossed in the pens-sens game. Pens lost 4-2. In his post game he said they lost the game in the first. He said the pk needs to be better and that starts with me. I have to better and get them better. Did you hear that zippy? I wish the person that runs the video board at BC would play that a few times during a game so zippy can hear what a real coach does. Steps up and takes responsibility. (frank)ing moron. |

Nah, just getting a little frustrated I think. Don't worry. Snow will call him onto the carpet and set him straight. He'll be pissing rainbows again real soon. |

That would have been a funny headline. Man gets fired falling asleep watching Star Wars in front of boss. |

I have been weirdly at peace this season. I turned off the mobile notifications for Staple's tweets, the team is so bad I don't make it a point to abandon all other plans to watch them...it's an oddly cathartic experience, just cutting most of the ties with the Islanders. - eichiefs9
Isn't it though? I'm the same way. Kind of like, well the Isles are on, but that sock drawer really needs to be straightened out. I don't get mad and want to jump through the screen. It's almost like step 12 of rehab. Acceptance. Or the stages of grief. you get my point . |

Yep.
Hmm..second period started, but I really need to shop for some more duck decoys that I absolutely do not need in any way, shape, or form. |

There have been times, during the worst losing streaks this year, that I knew the game started at 7 and I just handed the remote to my GF and said "hey, forget about the Isles...put on whatever you want".
Although, in fairness, that's also partially so I can score some points to put towards disappearing all weekend to go hunting. - eichiefs9
You gotta bank 'em when you can. I do the same with the wife since I go to hockey games on weeknights. No, it's ok honey, watch what you'd like. |
