How many times have i said L&M need to do something. Exactly what you said. Don't preach it and then sit on your hands. He wants to stand in front of a crowd and give a rah rah speech. Blow sunshine up everyone's ass. Then pulls a disappearing act when things started off sour. Then re-emerges when they string together a few decent games only to go back into hiding. I hold out very little hope for this ownership group. I'll give them the off-season, but if either of these fvck holes is still here, I'm done.

I'm not saying you or anyone in particular but there were plenty of here saying it wasn't the right time to shat can these clowns. There's no time like the present

Capuano is not planning any major changes up front. “If I thought it was something with the system or the structure, we would change it, but the opportunities are there,’’ he said. “It’s like baseball. If you were a .300 hitter for two straight years and all of a sudden you bat .240, you know the potential is there. You just gotta keep working and try to find the way to get back on track.’’
There's the whole thing

I already stated my piece about that.

How many times has Cappy been very upset and hinting at all these changes and then nothing? I guess checking with Garth did no good?

There is always a good time to fire Garth and Cappy including on Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years, and Flag day.

Then Gallant got canned. Bring him in? No, I was told. The new coach needs to have time to install his system. You integrate it. These are professional athletes. They adjust pretty quickly. That's why they're at this level. Like replacing the coach during the season has never happened.

I agree. But there would've been a mutiny in the room. So the inmates run the asylum? If you have that opportunity, you have to make that deal. My answer would've been "what are you offering?"

This is how things would have went.

Garth: Team I traded Travis today for Hall.

Team: That's great Garth! Travis was a great teammate but Hall really adds a ton of offense and makes JT a bigger threat.

That last one was funny. He's a (frank)ing hypocrite. "There will be some guys sitting, no doubt". I'm guessing he got asked who. Because that was immediately followed with "but that comes from management too." You fvcking pvssy. Try taking control of this team. Try using a different system. No. You're going to sit there with your thumbs up your ass and blame the players. Fvcking moron.

I love this thread but I want to pull my hair out sometimes. We hate Garth and Cappy and some then fight when options are presented.

I'm sure that guys would have been upset and liked it, but this is a business as well. They understand that guys get traded. I used to think, a long, long time ago, that the players should show loyalty to the team that drafted them. Then I realized that where was the loyalty to the players from management because they trade players and let them go to free agency.

Does Cappy really think Garth will fire him if he rebels a little?

Cappy needs to watch this scene. Maybe he can learn something from Jock.

I like Travis but he is not a sure fire #1 dman you keep at all costs. Isles have depth on d that makes it easier to trade and especially for a wing you really need. Loyalty is nice but players will do what is best for them in FA and teams have to do what's best for the overall team.

Yep. What are you going to do though. We all have opinions. You know what they say, opinions are like bumholes. Everybody's got one.
I don't mind a nice little discussion or debate. I don't think anyone on here is an idiot either. I'll listen to what anyone has to say, as long as they're willing to listen as well. None of us has ever played, coached or been a GM in this league. (You're the Prez and I'm the VP, so we don't count.) We have no idea what goes on behind closed doors. No idea what discussions are taking place. All of our opinions are made based on what we see and stats that are compiled. I don't remember anyone getting personal and name calling. At least not seriously.

Ha! Show a little backbone. I think the only little bone that Zippy shows is, well, I'll leave that one there.

I like the debate as well, but I see very little debate needed in terms of removing Garth and Cappy. If you can get Gallant to take the job you do it. I get debating trades or debating about certain players. It made no sense to keep Cappy and Garth when the team was tanking this year. You can have Weight take over and Lou's kid as GM and if you are worried you have him run any moves through you first. This thread is very good about not getting personal and name calling.

One of my favorite all time movie scenes. I do not like snakes at all, but Reggie is the only snake I like and Jock is one of my favorite all time minor characters.

Exactly. There are safeguards you can put in place to avoid any major debacles. I have fun with it. This team and Zippy's quotes and deflection piss me off, but i don't get too worked up. KR would rile me up a little every so often, and maybe 7, but other than that not too much. I'm kidding 7, I'm kidding.

L&M would have gotten major props for making these moves this year and it would have sent a message they were not fooling around. I think we have a lot of good clean fun on the thread. Everyone seems to be a good sport.

I hate snakes. We have rattlesnakes here. I tell people that I have an agreement with them. I won't mess with them if they don't mess with me. I went scouting for a deer hunt years ago with my ex father-in-law and brother-in-law. B-i-l wanted to stop because he saw a rattlesnake. They both got out and grabbed the snake. They were standing at the front of the truck, I at the back. They were telling me to come pet it and I told them nope, I'm good back here.

I agree. We poke fun at each other, but i think that it's part of getting to know each other a little. Understanding what we'll tolerate so to speak. I kind of remember the first time i poked fun at MDW. I was a little concerned that i might have offended him. He then pm'd me a picture of some old bastards nut sack hanging out.
It's fun. It's really difficult to offend me.

MDW did that? I think it might be love? Only Garth and Cappy still being employed offend me. That and maybe making fun of Star Wars.

The company i work for rented out a movie theater and held a christmas party there the weekend that the new one was released. Some friends asked me hoe it was and I told them it was a lot of pwew, pwew-pwew-pwew (light saber sound effects). It's a cool theater. They have recliners and you can order food and drinks from your seat.

That sounds pretty sweet. Shockingly, I did not see Rogue One yet. Guess I'm not such a nerd after all.
